I have heard many alums who are pleased with this move, I am not one of them. ND brings a lot of money to South Bend with the sporting events. Further, its mission is education, and the money should be spent furthering that mission. However, if they have enough money to do this, that is great. I will just be sure to let the poor freshman who calls asking for my alumni donation know that ND has a lot more disposable income than I do.
