@BHaller5: Mr. B-Rock, you can sign up anytime between now and race day (May 19) as long as the race hasn't been capped at the runners' capacity. You can sign up by going to Google searching "Fargo Marathon" and click on the Registration link for either online or mail-in registration. Best of luck and let me know if you need any help with your training!
@xoxshelbyxoxo: First of all, make sure you have a base amount of weekly miles (i.e. 6-10 miles weekly total miles - running/walking 4 times a week for 3 miles). This will prepare you for a novice marathon running program. Second, take a look a Jeff Galloway's or Hal Higdon's novice marathon training program (12-week format) - you should be able to find either of these online. Third, find an experienced marathon runner you know who can answer your questions as they come up. Best of success!
Thanks for bringing this video to our attentnion. My daughter and I ran into your family on the bus into the Magic Kingdom on Sunday morning. I have shared it out thorugh my FB page.
Jess and I were in this half marathon as well. It was my daughter's second and my eighth. Jess and I have another half together in Minneapolis this spring then I am off to the Fargo marathon in May where I hope to complete my first full marathon.
@joebnelson: Other than Disney World, if there is a marathon you would want to make your "first," it would be the Fargo Marathon! I am on the race committee for the Fargo Marathon and we are always excited for runners to look forward to racing with us. You can find us by typing in Fargo Marathon into a Google search. We have the flattest, fastest and friendliest marathon course in the nation - and more spectators, per capita, than any other marathon! I hope to actually meet you in Fargo!
Thank you so much for amazing videos. I just got back from WDW, where I did not first half marathon. In the weeks before the race, I found your videos to be extremely motivating. They got me even more excited than I already was.
When I watched this video, I saw that you and your son hit the mile markers not far from me, so I was on the lookout for myself while watching this video. At 8:06 of the video, I found myself jogging through Epcot.
@spiegle18: Thanks so much for the feedback - this is exactly why I make this videos. I'm glad you had a great race and I wish much more success in your future. Thanks again!
Lee...you made me feel famous! Love your videos...I had way to much fun, thank you for getting the race on film so I can share it with the rest of my family!
Congrats to your son for his first Half Marathon!!
@elderfam: You are most welcome. Feel free to share the race with all friends and family - that's why the videos are there. I did congratulate my son for you - he's still flying high from his experience. It was memorable!
Thanks for getting footage of my husband's first half marathon.! He watched all your videos last week from prior years to psych himself up and now he's in one! So cool!
This was the most amazing experience I have ever had! 2012 was my first half and I enjoyed every minute of it! Your videos are truly an inspiration to me! Thank you so much and congrats to your son for completing his first half too!

Great footage of a great race! Despite the 5:30 start time (2:45 wake up call) this was one by far the most fun race I've ever entered!!!
