@shykitty786 The chipping of the beak is normal for an older parakeet. And I'm guessing if the nails look too long, the bird is probably over 1 year old? Have a vert check and clip the nails or do it your self but watch a few videos for information. Good luck! :)

I have a bird a bit like Benny. He's called Spooky and he's quite tame. He'll come to a finger for a ride home when he's on the floor or something and he interacts well with us and our other birds. But like Benny he makes his "big baby" noise when he's on your hand as though he's in terrible danger. It's just his way of showing off.

I enjoy the fact that they have distinct personalities.

ok , the first thing u need to do is after tow weeks of spending time whith them put your finger inthe cage and put it under your bidgees stomach and when it fells comfort it will step on your finger try this every week.then u can start holding thaem like the video.

ok, so i've done that now... out of 4 birds, one of them will sit on my hand from only a certain position in the cage, and she'll sit there for as long as she wants, but if i move my finger slowly towards the cage's door, she jumps off. as for the rest of the birds, they're letting me stroke them once before running away. what's my next step to get the first bird out of the cage and to get the rest of the birds to let me stroke them for longer?

you have too much difficulty catching them. i have 6 flying all over the house. i can easily catch them, you have to train them to come in at night and leave in the a.m. and interact with them more. eventually they lose their fear of you and become docile.

I have tried but I am not sure still. In some sites they say it means the budgie is sick. Once my female Budgie Bonnie had a dark blue cere and her cere returned to be light blue again. It's confusing me. Anyway, thanks for your help, Faith.The problem is that the colour of the cere which has changed stays for while...not long time.
