For totalwar57 Marines are assigned to Marine Barracks, Washington, D.C., to serve a two-year ceremonial tour. Beyond their ceremonial duties, the Marines collaterally train as infantrymen. The Marines selected must be male and must be between 5'11" and 6'1" tall and be in the median of their weight requirements. Exhibition drill uses the noise of rifle movements to make sure everyone is on time. True silent you have to count everything out. No noise at all.

@BeRealisticNow You don't spend your whole enlistment in the Silent drill platoon. Special dutys are 3 years max. i.e Embassy duty. And no, when you are given special dutys you won't always deploy. Then with your 1 year left, you wont have enough time to deploy unless the unit your going to is deploying right away, and that isnt to likely although it has and can happen. I'm coming from 4 years of experience myself as a 0311 so I know my shit better then you. My sources come from my experience.
