Both versions sound great but I also prefer the U.K. version..... at the time of this song's release the slower version's sound was more popular.... This version is pretty good! I like it as its own individual song, but I think what really made the song "Cruel Summer" stand out for me was the little instrumental at the beginning with the keyboard(maybe).. but it made the song for me. Both great though! love this cover band!

Some years ago, like we can see in all of the Ace of Base videos, it was not necessary to wear clothes which reminds you of some professional working ladies, just music, understatement clothes, beautiful natural-looking women, two nice guys, goog rhytm and that's all. Ace of Base did not need to use those cheap things to be daily in the yellow press... I miss the original Ace of Base-Crew :-) ♥Jenny is the best♥

Think All along the watchtower by dylan vs the hendrix cover. Dylan is ok, but original. The hendrix version is amazing, and the overall better version. Same here, US version is similar but not that good, like the original was not that good. Now this here, the Euro version is awesome. This is real music.

This is how I oft remember "pop" songs when remembering them in later days, fast and repetitive in my mind.

But... I like the Bananaramma version too much (and haven't listened to this song enough to have too much nostalgia).

I am feeling like I like the "American cover" more... though I liked this when hearing the intro. It just seemed too repetitive for being fast paced. As is the nature of the song.
