Thanks for uploading this. I am about to make mine out of recycled office particians made from glass and aluminum. I got them for free. I am going to lean mine up against the sunny side of the house. I like how you mentioned orchids. I am goig for a mostly urban sustainable garden but it is nice to have pockets of things of beauty for example my clivias along the fence line which make a beautiful barrier and a microclimate.
Wow your so lucky to have such a perfect place to farm, I believe I live in similar if not a warmer climate I'd really like to start growing plants but I have no idea where to start, I'm from Hawaii. Could you give me a few tips on what to do to get my garden started?
Hey there! We too are building a glass house, we are at the heat sink point so no frame or anything up yet, it's summer in NZ now so we can get it finished. I have just uploaded part 1 of our journey. I'll video reply to show you! Nice t meet you : )
Thanks for the comment, I have seen steel water drums used as heat sinks, the water heats up and retains the heat over night. I don't really need that here as it doesn't get that could, the glass panelling will hopefully do enough by retaining day time heat from the sun in winter. Good luck with your project, I'd love to see the finished product.
that is great. im building mine out of recycled materials. putting a tilapia breed tank in it for and aquaponics set up. you have great videos, lots of good info. keep em up.
