Looking forward to your next video!

  • Thanks! I appreciate your compliments, I got another one comming sooner or later.

  • what a great video.. you did an outstanding job. If you get more animals, maybe some turkey and an owl or two along with a maybe a gator... put it all together.. and a great advertisement for the Croatan Forest. I wonder if you the person I saw last week. I stopped you and asked you why you had a snake rod. If thats you great to meet you.. We were right off Catfish Rd not far from 58.

  • That was me, awesome. Thats were I spend most of my days.

  • Hey what is the snake named at 2:11

  • That would be an adult corn snake that is in shed.

  • can corn snakes bite you?

  • Yes.

  • Hey Brandon, the only species I have in my part of NC that aren't in yours are probably the midland painted turtle and the red eared slider. I caught a red eared slider today with my friend will and I was pretty suprised and I checked it for about five minutes to make sure it wasn't a yellow belly.

  • Yeah really, the best way to tell is all them spots on the belly. And, of course, the red markings. I would like to catch a painter someday soon.

  • It was hard to tell because it was old and dark pigmentation was starting to set in. But then I caught to more which I caught on tape so i'm sure now.

  • What kind of snake was that at 0:45

I saw somthing like there here

  • eastern glass lizard i think (legless lizard).

  • Awesome video! It would be cool if you made more salamander videos, or frog videos.

  • Yeah I've been working on that. I got a recent video up of a marbled salamander. It's just so infrequent that I see a different species of salamander.

  • Well next year if you aren't in florida again come to davidson for the weekend because they had tons of wild caught salamanders like two lines and mud and stuff they said they could find 17 in thirty minutes.

  • man u got some wicked vids brandon, amazing!

  • thank you man, I got some more comming soon.

  • wherever your at it kicks ass

  • Haha, sure does, i love the area. I feel fortunate to live here.

  • thats sick i would love to live near places like that. were exactly is that?

  • It's in North Carolina. Right near the coast.

  • hey man, im going to start making videos of my herping this summer can you give me some tips on what you take with you, like at 1:50- 1:56 you had an element Bpack on , any herping supplies in it? thanks!

  • I carry, water, snake hook, water proof box, and some scoobie snacks. Any thing that'll keep me going smooth for 5 or 6 hours.

  • Wow that was amazing!

  • Thanks man

  • very nice. I like the music too.

  • Thanks, yeah I liked how it went with some of the subjects.

  • horny turtles

  • Yeap

  • Seriously a great video brandon, like usual. But i have to ask, what type of snake was that at 1:34?

  • Probably it's that baby black racer in shed. I think a few comments above talk about the same thing. Thanks for watching.

  • Awesome, its cool how some racers and ratsnakes start out with great patterns and just get totally solid with age.

  • 5 stars man, I cant wait to get to some local salamander ponds.

  • Cool man, get lookin they'll be crawlin around by now.

    Francisco

  • Excellent video Brandon! I really enjoyed watching it. You always find the best critters!! And your creative photography adds a lot to the video too. =)

  • Thanks alot!, I am going to continue to do more "naturistic" video rather than me grabbing them and talking about them. It seems to teach people about them easier then it would if I did a lecture about them.

  • hell yea. im glad to hear she is getting nice and fat

  • He, thanks.

  • Great video Brandon,

I wish I could find herps like you all the herps near here suck.lol

    (Ryan,ColdBlooded97)

  • Not at all my son, you have:

    fox snakes,

    Ribbon Snakes

    Eastern Massasuagas

    Eastern Hognoses

Northern Water Snakes and many more,

Consider youself lucky compared to alot of other people. Start looking becaus they are out in ontario.

  • kick ass video! hows the blood?

  • Growing big, 4 footer. Big around as my calf.

  • sweet video bro i hope you make more keep up the good work

  • I will do, thanks for watching man.

  • your welcome its my pleasure

  • nice video man.. glad to see your having a good year so far and your seeing alot of herps.. i got those videos of those cottons up... the quality is very bad do to because the videos were made on a camera phone...anyways well good job, continue the good work

  • Thanks

  • I cant do much herping in my area. The only reptiles in my area are my pet snake, a few lake turtles, 2 GIANT DUCK EATING TURTLES, garder snakes, a galapagos tortise someone probably had as a pet but released it on a bike trail near my house!9its probably dead or didnt survive the winter), sewer gators (lol) and radioactive mutants that occasionaly pop up

  • Dude you just have to look, if you live in the u.s, you have something to look for, see the beauty in the few animals you have.

  • awesome video dude.

  • Thanks man

  • Your time and effort was well worth it. Great video. I enjoyed all the herps in this video and I'm usually just a snake guy.The male turtle chasing the female over the log was funny and so were all the pissy snakes. Good job. Keep them coming. Oh yeah and that corn snake was a monster.

  • Haha thanks bro, I am glad you liked the video, the spotted turtles mating will come in a seperate video soon. Thats going to be in the spotted turtle documentary soon.

  • awesome man!

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!! Really well made!!!!! 5/5!!!!!

  • Thanks bro, 2009 field herping is official.

  • Cool! And you're welcome!

  • but i have animals

  • i dont go herping because i dont find much in maryland but i have a vid all we have is skinks

  • Thats the reason you dont find anything, you have to look past your backyard.

  • You nailed it dude!! That is one of your best vids, keep going in that direction and you're there my friend.

  • Preciate it rob, gladly will make more videos.I just hope you guys accually even get a spring. Wouldent that suck it snowed the whole spring and summer and into winter again?

  • That was Awesome Bro!!! Can't wait for it to stop snowing here and go out and do some herping.

    5*****

  • Haha yeah everyday I hear, another 12 inchs ffor denver.

  • Ya its ridiculous, i mean the snow melts away in like a day or 2 but it snows like every 4-5 days here right now and it is just to cold for herps.

  • Awesome video! 5/5 What's that snake in 1:33 ??

  • I think its a juvenile racer or maybe a juvenile water snake. It's hard to tell from the photo while its in shed and we don't have water snakes here on the west coast, so I'm not sure what baby water snakes look like. I'm bettin it's a racer.

  • It's a northern black racer. Hatched last year probably.

  • Yeah it's a juvi racer. It's n blue so it looks different.

  • Man probably the best herping video ever! Well produced and edited! Man you must live in paradise.Faving and 5 star rating
