hey mickey..the light "square fade" is from the back glass tape..that gottlieb put on there machines to "pad the backglass"...it always faded the paint over time ....the adhesive would fade the color on the front side of the glass...it is VERY COMMON................ and a problem for most gottlieb glasses..
