Is this a better pedal than the dd7, i think it is from what i've heard but on ebay the dd7 goes for more money than the dd20 so I'm a bit confused really. I'm getting rid of my dd3 and dont know which one to get. Any thoughts?
By manual do you mean tap-tempo? You can get an extra boss footswitch (FS-5L) which can then be dedicated to setting the tempo and so your memory settings can just be to change delay type.
You probably already know this by now, but the DD-20 needs its own power supply because it uses around 150-200 mA of power... a lot more than most of the other Boss pedals. I use a 1 spot just for the DD-20, which is probably overkill but it works.
A power supply with 300 mA of power would be sufficient.
Yeah, thanks man, I did work that out, it's a very good point for anyone who has just bought this pedal and is planning on daisy chaining it with other effects, that ain't gonna work!
yea i daisy chain mine with a 1-spot and that same one powers my 5 other pedals which are a tuner, wah, tubescreamer, ds-ii, and a compression. am i doing something wrong? it seems to work fine...would it be louder or something
I was finding the power cut out when I had this in series with a tuner, dd-3, dd-20 and multi-fx, so perhaps it was the combination of the multi-fx and the DD-20 that drew two much power for one adaptor. I now use two, one for the DD-20 and one for everything else. If your set up is working fine I wouldn't worry about it unless you want to add another power heavy pedal into the mix, then you might get some issues.

the sound on sound how many can you record on top of one?

It's unlimited... but you can't take layers away, always adding layers. I think the loop can be up to 21 seconds.

Not if you daisychain it with an 800 or 1000 mA adapter, wich would be enough to feed the DD20 and other six pedals (it's my case).

Using a 1-Spot adapter or something?
thefacelessmonster 3 years ago
I've got about 13 pedals in my chain (one is the dd-20). powered by 1 one spot and two 8 chain adapters. no problems here.
