Dude. You have no idea about the drivers here. I live in Richmond, and they all suck. Really badly. They so this thing where if they are driving really slow, and you try and get in front of them because they're simply old and crotchety, once they see you try and graze in front of them, they speed up and don't let you. And don't even get me started on being the only Democrat within a 100 miles. No one is courteous. I seriously want to move.

Back in the old days, when aviation was a fairly new thing, airports had two-letter codes. The Los Angeles International airport at that time was just "LA". As the aviation industry expanded, and they ran out of two-letter combinations for airport codes, they went to a three-letter system. The "X" in "LAX" just got slapped on to the airport's existing code to make it conform to the new system, and has no further meaning. Same thing happened to Oregon's Portland International airport: "PDX".
