such a fantastic video! next time i debate with myself on what piece of gear to get next, i'll just watch this video again and get a machinedrum for sure! :D
i'm stunned dude. it just shows you if you spend enuf time with these babys u can come with something good but if you have the knowledge (like this guy!) you can come out with something great! again, superb!!!
Hello Howdragonsdisappear, Great video! thinking about piking up the mm & MD myself too, but i want value for my money. This is thelast time in a long time i will be able to spend such a great amount of money on gear. Do you think its possible to create an entire production/album on the MM & MD ? I'm also considering some synth like moog voyager or virus & cubase (do the beats in there) But seeing your video's makes me think elektron gear has hudge possibility's. thanks
@Stillgrey sure they can do an entire album, hard to know if it's that YOU really need in a youtube comment ! got some track on soundcloud, lots of them are non ^mastered att all, maybe it can give you a better idea. Thank's for the kind word
what i love about the elektron instruments is how they invite you to sit in front of them and just focus. you hardly care to pick up a mouse after working on a machinedrum or monomachine for any amount of time. this work is exemplary. i wish i could watch it from above and enjoy the process and finesse better. but, that's just my selfish curiosity. bravo! well done and thanks for sharing.
@rhodes1986 the uw can do easily some really cool complex granular effect, and add some grain you can't obtain without. But the SPS1 stay a great machine whithout !
- WRONG ! 32/32 x1 it's an original machinedrum UW; and 64/64 x1 for the monomachine, in live i use sometimes the x2 on the MD (the divide the tempo by 2) to simulate a 8bars loop on the mono but not here.
- i'm not sure, but i think the track 4 is an E12 and it's the only one, I generally don't use this machine but sometimes the bend effect can be cool to keep free the lfos, after it's only rom and EFM and a ctr machine for the delay. I'm in love with the efm !
Year, somewhere between Autechre and Board of Canada... I've the MD, it's so crazy machine regarding the rest of the market Box... So I wait for the MNM next week.... Cheer !
Absolutely fantastic. Reminds a little of "Unit: Static Beef ". Especially in the beginning. Do you know that track? If you don't you definitelly have to listen to their "Narcoleptic symphony" Album.
you might want to make an annotation that people type '&fmt=18' behind it to watch it in HQ. Really serves the soundperpecption good. Especially the high freq.
COME ON MAN! SHIT!
this is really cool dude. love the synth sound you chose.

werd,I was wondering. Is there a major difference between the UW version and the SPS 1? Besides adding extra drum sounds and other samples.

Is this being recorded through a mixer or are you using a microphone on the speakers?
rhodes1986 1 year ago
@rhodes1986 thank's, it's a mix between my bridge camera mic (very cheap what you hear at the beginning) and the soundboard recording

Your right, holy cow dude... A whole album could be made with this setup here. Quite possibly the coolest thing music wise ive seen on youtube.
That being said, mine should be here in a few days!
