@mrgone830 We're obviously gonna butt heads on this one, i just think Fraiser is far more cleverly written than Seinfeld. Im english and a lot of Seinfelds jokes dont translate well, not that i dont understand the dialect, just the things they talk about are so American its hard to find the content funny, so i just end up laughing at the visual humor like Kramers entrances lol. I liken Seienfeld to the late night show, i dont understand the top 10 list and i dont understand seinfeld
@SamHain1031666 you know, thats totally fair. I figured seinfeld's topics were more universal cause they are about things that everyday people go through, not just one group of people in particular. I think frasier is good too, cause kelsey grammer is pretty witty. i do agree that this seinfeld scene isnt the funniest, but its a good example of their genius.
@SamHain1031666 I can understand the difference in cultural humor and i appreciate that you do as well. Many examples one can make of shows or otherwise that lay heavily on cultural humor, the translation elsewhere would understandably not always hold up. Rather then rudely respond, you understood the difference. I dappreciate that type of analyzing as it eliminates a lot of unwarranted hate.
