If ever I was asked to explain what music was to an other worldly being, I would use this video as the example! Just colossal and moving at the same time! Only Neil......
Weld is a live album and concert video by Neil Young & Crazy Horse released in 1991, comprising performances recorded on the tour to promote the Ragged Glory album
I don't know where I got it from, but I played this LOUD on my parents' stereo back when I was... well... it was 1988 or thereabouts, and it brought my father and I together. I played the entire thing and he was silent the whole time. At the end he said "that was great". Coming from my dad, well, "great" is how he might describe faster-than-light travel.
@TD4WD My dad first showed this to me, or, well, played it anyway. He sat me down in the living room, and said "Just listen." I see him reach for the volume, and it seemed like he never stopped turning that dial up. The intro alone is just... wow.
@mafiaz187 got to start somewhere... i know what thats like eh! It was the Bee Gees 'I Started To Cry' and Spoon's 'Underdog' that crossed our generation gap.. so good!
Yes, he's played it in concert 57 times to date. First time was 6/11/88, last time was 10/21/01. Both of those were at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA
A legend sings a song written by another legend - perfect!

Even Neil Young himself must watch this video and see how badass he is. The silhouette of him performing is beyond words.

I was born in 1986. When I was 15 I heard this song for the first time, composed by neil young. It changed my life.

@Imgoing2LoveYou ... It was actually composed by Bob Dylan, but Neil performs a truely haunting version of it.
