This show is one of my favorite things I've ever heard on the radio. The humor is so straight and dry, and performed completely unflinchingly.

The first time I heard it I definitely wasn't sure if it was satire or not for at least a whole segment. The jokes are subtle, but effective. Really excellent, can't say enough about it.

I never written to the CBC before either and this may not qualify but it's all the time I have. I was trucking thru Ontario on my way home to Manitoba when I 1st heard This is That. The interview with the supposed author Irving Spence was so funny, I was wiping tears from my eyes and thought I may crash my rig. My stomach actually hurt. I cannot believe the reviews. It may be because CBC is so use to attracting such a stuffy audience. My Opinion. Other laughs but not as funny as that interview.
