Nahh... Mostly religion/gods was a good although  primitive way to explain things unexplainable to people...

Its grown since them and became a tool for many people using peoples gullibility.

As for God(s) existence... Noone can prove OR disprove it. Nuff said.

If you were unaware, the Jewish religion are closely related. The difference is that Judaeism teaches that the redeemer has not come and that thet are still waiting for him and Christians believe that CHRIST was the one and therefore have faith in GOD and his son Jesus Christ as the one who forgives and redeems them.

In addition Jews have specific criteria for the messiah that Jesus (contrary to the belief of Christians) did not meet. Jews don't believe that the messiah is the son of God but will be a human prophet from the line of King David.

@AnteaterCharger you're right that they don't believe the messiah is the son of God.

However they have a problem. Most of the prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus and the rest will be fulfilled in the second coming. The problem is though, that no one else has fulfilled any of the prophecies that had to be fulfilled by a certain time. So you can wait forever and those prophecies still won't be fulfilled by anyone else.

That is if they insist he still has not come.

Well, I have just finished watching the landmark documentary series "Tribe" by Bruce Parry, produced by the BBC and would like to point out that cultural sensitivity is important.

This all the more if you consider that Stine is expecting respect for his religion, Christianity.
