I’d like to suggest that you use you pistol stance (which is great) with your carbine. Try it and I’ll bet what little recoil you are feeling will go away.
Sup Cory? Great shootin bro, just gona let u in on a mod iv been doing for years now as an alternative to the extended slide stop/release, i just take the factory one and slightly bend it out from the frame of the pistol, not too much but enuff that its not setting flush against the frame, man its very simple and allows it to stick out just enuff to hit it easier but not so much that ul engage it while runnin the gun!
@sirtom68 Hey man, just wanted to add that iv ran the gen1 MBUS for many years and im now runnin the gen2 , also have a whole lot of buddys that run em in pretty extreme condition and none of us have ever had a prob! The gen2 front is better in many ways than the gen1 front!
@WillSnipe4Tacos I've read nothing but good about em, probably gonna give em a try. Its all preference I reckon, never know till ya try something. Hard to find anything at a reasonable price anymore that will last.I just cant dump out 200 frog pelts for a sub 2000 co-witness sight system right now.....er ever as far as that goes.
@sirtom68 Ive used the sights bf, the rear is good, the front sight on the other hand not so much its fat and funny looking. A lot of ppl use them and love them and maybe you will also.
@cory07ink Right on. I would just like a nice flipper other than the pos factory sight, talking bout looking funny! Will gladly give up sight radius to have something affordable and dependable to slip on a rail, hard balance right there I know , it's what we all want I value your thoughts. Yall are top notch , and I see many sub's and views if you keep it up Thanks.
i have an hk p30 in 9mm and it does the same exact thing. it was starting to really piss me off until i realized what it was. I hate having to modify my grip between my guns
I had that very problem with my sig p229. Apparently I grip the shit out of a gun. I thought that my brand new Sig was broke, at the time. Then I figured it out after about a 100 rounds of problem solving LOL.
I've had that problem a couple of times, especially if I've been shooting my 1911 a lot, where I rest my thumb on the safety lever. Usually just required a slight mental reset.. haha.
It may not be worth the trouble to retrain muscle memory with the extended stop if you are already used to the factory stop on your 17 and other Glocks
Great video. I've noticed you put your whole hand around the front of your M4. Is that some sort of special technique? Does it hold more steady? Takes more of the kick? Ive never seen any professional shooter use that grip before, it looks very uncomfortable and akward.
@xBossAwesomex I have seen more and more use this tech, search for "surefire magazine" on youtube and a user called surefirebeam has a review of the new surefire mags and Greg Lin the demonstrator is using it.
I had the same issue when I put an extended slide lock on my G19. I took it off after only one session at the range. You might encounter this problem too if you ever get in to Sigs. The factory slide lock is really unforgiving and forces you to be very conscious of where your strong hand thumb is. Also, congrats on the TRP! I've had one for seven years and love it!
Good tips. I noticed my slide doing the opposite of what you said (locking back when it wasn't supposed to) and perhaps that's from my hand positioning, placing upward pressure on the release.
I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this the next time I'm shooting.
Thanks for this tip...some things are difficult to realize while you're concentrating on a good shot. :)
I had a kinda the same problem with my old sig 220, except...... Instead of the slide lock, I was pressing down on the decocker, and of course with the decocker down, it wouldn't fire. I tried to work with it a little more, but in the end I traded it for a glock 17.
there's that AR again. i'm down the road a ways i'll just come take the AK's off your hands. i had the same issue at one point and took off the extended release.
Your channel is great. And you're a kick-ass dude. Where did you learn your techniques? Like how you look after you shoot? I am just curious. Keep rockin' it. If you don't mind, what state do you live in? I only ask because you have some nice property!

Do you intend on getting a Geissele trigger in one of your ARs or are you satisfied with the DD trigger?

nice bb gun you got there.

The grip was apparently invented by magpul, they found that in cqb it improves snap to aim.

You should try the vickers slide stop. It is much better than the standard and does cause the problem the extended one does.
