This is why I laugh at "Drift racing" fanboys who say that NASCAR drivers don't have the kind of talent drifters do. If those drift racecar superstars were really so talented, then why aren't they in NASCAR? You obviously would be paid a hell of a lot more and you would be a hell of a lot more famous...
If this is the best save you've seen, this must be the only race you've watched. What about Gordon and Johnson at the end of this race driving sideways for the win? Jimmie in qualifying at Dover in 06? Johnny Sauter and Ron Hornaday at Kansas last fall? AJ at Dover? Hamlin at Martinsville in 09? We can go on and on. Harvick is a dirty ass driver anyway. I don't even like Busch either, but come on. Other than that Texas deal, he's not a dirty driver. Harvick takes people out on purpose often.
@xxSHAKEnBAKE11 Kyle is the dirtiest driver in NASCAR, and it's sad that you say this even though there is plenty of evidence showing that he is the dirtiest driver in NASCAR.
@88junor um... really? Because that Texas thing was the only thing Kyle has done that wasn't just a racing incident. On the other hand, Harvick started that whole deal with Kyle long before Kyle ever touched. Besides, if you were a Dale Sr fan (seeing as you are a Jr fan) you really have no room to talk. Dale was just as bad or worse, the only difference was he handled himself much better off track than Kevin or Kyle, so he was still respectable.
@ffdprocks2011 This is during a restart so they're going half as fast as they go at top speed at best. So for a driver who's made it to the Sprint Cup level, especially one with all the experience Harvick has, this really isn't that big of a deal. It just looks alot more impressive than it actually is.
@xxSHAKEnBAKE11 yea i do have to agree with you. i'm just happy he didn't wreck and it still is pretty good for a driver to save his car,cuz these cars are really hard to handle.
McMurray's at Las Vegas in 2009, Jeff's at Daytona in July & Jimmie's at Dover in 2006 are better than this one. Harvick's was pretty good, but it's 4th best.
@MrTrains24 this save was probably harder..jeff had the aid of the apron to keep his car from spinning completely, kevin was in a low gear and in the middle of accelerating on a straight

He took the wheel to the lock to save it under acceleration with 35 cars right behind him without missing a single stroke, amazing.
These boys are good.

Incredible save. He had another awesome one in the July NNS Daytona race too.
I'm a huge 29 fan, but McMurray at Vegas 08 was better. As was JJ in qualifying at Dover

Incredible save! The only thing I hate is how mundane the guys in the booth were about it. That was some excellent driving by Harvick.
