  • The lead singer is so gorgeous.

  • Now all I need is a stapler gun, an 80's poster, and a kingdom to settle my throne as the prince of Bel-air.

  • Amazing song. Although, is there any need to mention that they're black in the description? Does anyone actually give two shits about what colour their skin is? Seriously.

  • 16 i was. Now i'm 39. 23 years later an still love this clip.

A lot of people dit those moves they do.

Dancing with some girl at a club. WoW.

Somebody has a timemachine for me????

  • Distinct memory: It was 1994 and I worked at McDonalds drive through taking orders. I grew up broke so wanted as much money as possible so worked ridiculous hours while studying. A Vauxhall Calibra turbo in blue pulled up and this guy had three girls (fit as you like) in his car coming back from a rave playing this as loud as anything. 2 things happened, 1. I knew from there I wanted to make music and 2. I now make music

  • @pulseburst do you also pull up with 3 fit ladies at the micky d's drive through?

  • Share Impossible Intégration Désactivate ??? Why ???

  • Whats the relevance of them being black?

  • This is the best Briitish Soul track ever made

  • For me this is the anthem for the early rave days when the party people were few and the vibe was special, just before the masses got involved and greed took over. They took them days away but they'll never take my memories :)

  • Classic, Still Fab. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. .. .

  • I remember leaving Glasgow and going to London in the late 80s for the first time. The club was under some railway arches, they played this music.I don't believe i had ever saw a black person in the flesh (really) until then. Absolutely brilliant experience, the vibe, the dress, the girls ,oh (being from Glasgow) the drugs.

    Outstanding.

  • This sure is a classic. I still have this tune on rotatation in my car right now. (The good old days).

  • Caron Wheeler is so cute!

  • white peeps hav a flaire for rullin blak peeps. But theres no more style curture and boom than africa. Cjeck the colors check the hair cuts. beats my pin stripe.

  • Not sure of the need to inject the racial aspect into commenting on this song, as I don’t see how it has any bearing; maybe I’m not understanding your context. Anyway, this track could be played in a club today and the young kids would dance to it, just like we did when we were their ages. This was a unique generation, to be sure, but every generation has its own streak of greatness. In 20 years, the stuff the kids are listening to now will become classics. Nevertheless, Great Song!

  • @dpc658 I'd definitely dance to this =D

  • wow i didnt no this song i feel super sad now -__-

  • This is so good, there something bout this song and this time period where music made you feel good..Lovin this song so glad I found it on here

  • Sad to say, I am only 35, but things were different in those days, life and music seemed alot simpler (thats a compliment)

  • I remember this group was famous for losing Best New Artist at the Grammys to Milli Vanilli. What a great tune. I remember Will Smith in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, dancing all around his room to the song.

  • Love it!

  • never liked this song and still dont

  • @BirkinG1rl okay then why are you over here listening to it? Go where you can be happy.

  • Still the best, still got their CD but i got them on my MP3 player now in my car, just love them.

  • Classic tune!

  • I feel bad for those who missed the Soul II soul era. They were simply the best!

  • @Juillet14 I feel sorry for you being alive during that time, some were good like this tune but most was CRAP

  • I will simply say, I am one among many who bought their first album when it first came out back in '89 and I am still listening to them even now in my car like it was yesterday. The uniqueness about Soul II Soul, among so many things, is their percussion arrangement especially the drumming, so simple and yet so soulful and funky. So many things could be said but one thing still remains.. WHY DOES'NT MUSIC SOUND LIKE THIS ANYMORE...WHY? WHY?

  • @TheKedamawi

because the people have bene tricked and souled out and don't even know it.

    serious,nwo is in full effect.

We are dealing with some beastly people who are in charge

  • Is that Kim Appleby in ths vid,I always wondered that for years, the girl with the hat looks just like her.

Classic tune, they don't make them like this anymore.

  • in my head the whole day

  • this is what i'm talking about!!!

  • i loved this group when it came out but i couldnt help how terribly everyone dances expecially that woman in the red pants with the violin and wasnt that white guy in brand new heavies?

  • oh i like i like it ...lol!

  • the best of music... lo mejor de la música...

  • Miss groups like this. R.I.P. Doreen and Lamya.

  • Caron Wheeler was sooooo beautiful back in the day. Hell, they all were. I remember thinking, "how is everyone in this group so good looking?". I was 19 when this came out. Hard to believe this song is 21 years old now. Just reaffirms my personal belief that music pretty much died after the 80's.

  • @DragnOnFire i share you sentiments exactly...sex was implied in the lyrics and now its all lets fuck and turn your back out and all kinds of stuff...if you wouldnt want someone singing that crap to your mom then why the hell would you sing it to me you know?

  • Estupendo grupo, sí se puede hacer buena música

  • yes

    old times thumbs up

miss that music and that atmosphere.

old and good easy gospel still has this!

  • Boy or boy i miss Soul 2 Soul they were awesome, amazing so far ahead of there time...

  • Awesome track, thanks for taking me back to a better time, respect most high.

  • now that's what I call music!!!!!!

  • i like Soul ll Soul but i wish upon a star that Taylor swift will go away from music movies commercials videos snitching on jonas bros and getting upstaged by kanye

  • ooooh yeh .... The Fridge ...Brixton....... Blinding.

    A sound that still sounds!!

  • dammit, lets go back 2 b4 y2k when music was better than ok ;)

  • she was a beautiful woman with great music!<3

  • I live at the top of the block,

No more room for trouble or fuss

Need a change, a positive change look

Look it's me writing on the wall

  • i love the 80's !!!!! i'm only 13 lol.

  • Fresh Prince man .!! lol this song always reminds me of it .

  • Was this 89? Class track, sure takes me back.

  • music of will

  • i remember jazzy coming into my hotel years ago. i was like thats my guy jazzy man ha. he was safe. think he had a round of toast, or it could of been a crumpet.

  • Rip she was such a beutiful woman

  • I will NEVER tire of listening to this song

  • lmfaooo... I fuckin luv this shit... true 80's baby up on here

  • very smooth love it !!!!

  • everytime i hear this song ill think of will smith dancing to this in the pilot of the fresh prince of bel air

  • Can't be duplicated! God, just listening to this sends chills throughout my body. When they drop the new album (YES, NEW ALBUM), I'm not going to have high expectations. A lot of these old artists are returning, and we are expecting their old sound. I will say that Jazzie usually has a patented sound, so we might be able to expect that deep down temp beat.

All in all, this is just beautiful soulful music that the industry currently lacks. You UK heads needs to come back and come back hard.

  • what can 1 say fcuking love it

  • Does anyone know the name of the back up singer in the black and white print jacket - she sang back up with Howard Jones and many others - I hear she has a lovely voice. This song woke me up in BKLYN during a bad time - haven't looked back...peace
