They only played the first season of Prisoner in the states,only way to see it is on Youtube. I was 12 back when it came out but really into it.

There's a boxset which has 3 cases with 4 episodes each but only highlights from the show but only 1 episode with Vera"vinegar tits" Bennet and more with her replacement Joan"the freak"Ferguson.

I have that boxset as well as the 2 UK released volumes, and a later volume that a mate bought me, which was the Nola era. :)

Hi. I remember WGN here in CHICAGO showed episodes when an inmate created a virus(storyline) that Bea, Doreen and some others came down with and that inmate had an oral cure which looked like a potato chip she kept melting in her mouth -TEE-HEE-LOL!!! I'd say around mid 1982 and then it disappeared.

I love that name ELSPETH. "Meg" was so nice and understanding towards everyone. I remember when Meg's daughter Tracey was incarcerated at Wentworth and Meg was shot(I forgot by whom). I think Tracey shot her.

For Meg's soft-heart she was capable of telling it like it was. They didn't do enough with Meg's backstory of being born inside. The Ettie story was really the only one. There were many chances to play that into story (ex:when she was preg and thinking of adoption. WHy wouldn't the fact she was brought up in an orphanage have been even mentioned?! Esp when they discussed the poss. of a Down's Syndrome baby never being adopted) Lost moments. Storyliners didn't always know the show, I guess.
