Will Always Love This Song Growing up years, Still growing In GOD EVERY DAY God Bless You Kerry Joe Iam so sorry In ever said I was sorry and didnt get to say goodbye.
Eagles...such an appropriate name. Iconic, Inspired. The more you examine this music, especially from a professional musician's standpoint, the more amazing their blend of technical ability, artistry, poetry, and sheer force becomes. This musical standard is what make things like rappers completely irrelevant.
@123xeelee Ahh , I see from your comment that you know all about me, my history, my exposure to the arts, the types of music I like and dislike... and all from that one comment I made. You must be a fucking mindreader and a clairvoyant as well. My horizons are broad enough to suit me, and I really don't care if they're broad enough to suit you or anyone else.
This song is something amazing I didn't know this song was a eagles song and I don't know the lyrics
Yet this song is so important to me... it just brings back memories of me when I don't thing I was even twelve years old riding in a car with my dad going home... how I wish I could be there again.
My daddy had the records and later the cassettes. I grew up listening to the Eagles and then when Don Henley went out on his own...listened to his music in the 80s.
This always reminds me of the final scene in that show 'Swingtown'. I knew the lead couple was going to wind up getting a divorce when this song played during that scene.
@SKINIT1 one of my favorites since birth n they came 2 town last yr n i was too broke 2 go :( im 27 n the music from my age group sucks they need 2 get back 2 the good stuff real music like this
I am 17 and my parents brought me up with this music. It is cherished by generations all over. Can't wait for the 2012 tour. Wish my generation had this talent.
This song has so much more impact on me now, than ever before. I mean I was 16? then and it was THE Coolest album, EVER, Yeah riding down to the beach, in an open convertible,,,,,,,girls of summer, blasting this album singing at the top of MY lungs,,,,Yeah,,,,,AND, now that I've actually,,,,Oh, 40ish? NOW I have LIVED this TAKING IT TO THE LIMIT (for Real) SO I KNOW what takin' it to the limit REALLY means.....Don'tcha think it's true all u 70's dudes????? It gave us like guts to DO IT<<
Remember this song, we used to go to the BAY, roll out off there at 2 in the morrning .. Go down the beach and light a fire and enjoy and be happy, Drunk off coures but happy.
"you know ive always been a dreamer........and its so hard to change, cant seem to settle down........................so put me on a hiway and show me a sign, and take it to the limit 1 more time!" so much soul
I have to say I totally agree with you. I had the pleasure of seeing The Eagles and I will say they are no country band and this certainly isn't a country song. They were amazing one of the best shows I have ever seen and will never forget hearing this song which received a standing ovation that last a good 10 - 15 minutes!
I'm so glad I grew up listening to and loving old music like the Carpenters, Eagles, Beatles, Bee Gees, Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, & the other classics... I still like new music like any 19 year old would, but I find old music the closest to my heart. They don't make music and movies like they used to anymore.
this great music i grew to this. it was a great time to be a kid didn't computers, video game, tv's had 3 main stations lol and psb we played outside enjoyed life to the fullest. i miss this kind of music.
@Michelle. This is just blues, that's all. Could have been sung by Bobby Blue Bland, Willie Nelson, or Etta James. It's just beautiful blues--lamentation about a lost love, or lost time, or both.
Take it to the limit...one more time. You can spend all you time makin money. You can spend all your love making time. wow. And when you're looking for your freedom...nobody seems to care! wow. and wow.
@hotvixxen19 Actually when I lived in the Tampa Bay area, the radio station that plyed primarily country music, singers like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, and Charley Pride, also used to play a lot of Eagles songs. This definitely was one of them. Among others I remember that they would play Lying Eyes, and Desperado as well.
this is real music, me? old fart that lived through the hippie era and cannot understand this new rap gangsta crap, who will listen to this rap crap in 20 years.
You can't beat the Eagles' sound. This is real music, that you can hear great music, and, of all things, you can actually understand the lyrics.......what a concept!

@MissMiasWorld I would have to agree with you about your comment to the young laddie. The Eagles were copied by country artists across the country as a very warm and honorable tribute to this iconic band. The album Common Thread was a great public endorsement from all the greatest country artists of our time and the Eagles will echo through the future for our childrens children

LOL, Michelle Dear, you MUST be about 15 years old. If you were an actual adult, you'd know that the Eagles were HUGE at one point and still ARE. Only someone very young with the screen name "Michelle's Poontang" would say that "Take it to the limit" is Country Music. Please dear girl, educate yourself. You know not what you say...ROTFLMAO!!
@ThrashMetalJay i dont know anyone born after '93 that likes the Eagles, Bob Seger or the Rolling Stones......besides my little brother, but he grew up listening to it with my dad.
@KeswickCamp08 im from 94 and i only listen rolling stones, the beatles, the eagles, bob seger, john lennnon (my big hero), aerosmith, guns n roses ofc, acdc and all the other good stuff. Going to the eagles next year tho. Music created after 1990 isnt music. How older how greater. sorry for this post. I agree that people from my age listen to bullcrap :P
@MissMiasWorld If you dear lady had any brains you wouldn't be so filled with righteous indignation whle talking to a younger person. If you had any current knowledge you would know that The Eagles are heavily involved in the country scene and are played heavily on the country stations. You can educate a young person without being judgemental and arrogant... Asshole

Asshole
