Yelling at a cabbie for not using his turn signal, when he actually did and you didn't once use your own until the last 15 seconds of the video? Poor form.
Sure the cabbie deserved an ear full or maybe a left booted mirror removal for perhaps moving over without looking, but pick your fights and don't make yourself look like a total hypocrite at the same time.
@ZagatoZee 1st of all..if u knew anything bout riding or driving NY i would accept ur comment.u have to ride agressive.that guy used his signal while turning, not a valid or acceptable way of driving.do i use it in the city? not unless i'm stopped or going super slow & attempting to make a full turn to avoid getting hit from behind.in NYC there is barely any turn signal use within one direction driving.such as going up an ave.poor form? just trying to make him alert that he needs to be cautious
dude i was scared watching your video.... good thing you actually had the courage(balls) to confront him about his shitty drivers. honestly new york drivers are one of the worst , but it not really their fault its their lifestyle. oh BTW you should have a metal pole of something to fuck somebody's car up if they mess with you lol
@VegetasRage ..the cabbies don't give a shit because they are just trying to cover their daily cab rent and make a living...i don't like the way they drive but i accept it....at the end of the day....i ride a cab and tell him to haul ass when i get in....so....it is what it is..that and the lanes aren't even painted anymore...metal pole...? i am not a viking on a steel horse....i'm just a normal dude...
It's not New York drivers, it's New York cabbies. They drive like enraged maniacs, mostly because they are under TREMENDOUS pressure to make a certain amount of money before their shifts end. Which is why they are jerks on the road, and pull chicanery like refusing to take you to one of the other four Boroughs (even though they're required by law to take you anywhere in the boundaries of NYC you want to go). That being said, that guy clearly didn't look before he switched lanes.
Dude these cabbies are fkin crazy. I deal with the same shit every day. I would have broke his mirror off and kicked his door in but thats just me. ;P
it looks pretty tight (traffic) in NYC ...... and talking about that close call...... well it`s pretty hard to judge because the taxi got cut off too and that`s why he had to cut you off... but of course the taxi should of looked in the mirrors and signaled because the traffic in NYC is horrible and the taxis have to be careful because it would be a really nasty crash
@lvcreed yea i don't know..i think he has brakes..and signals...if he gets cut off he can brake....and look at his rear view...to not cause a potential brake...at the end of the day....i am ok...but..you only really really know what happened if you were there the video only shows the camera's point of view...not the driver's or riders's point of view...
It does not seem safe to ride in NYC. Just a matter of time before something happens. I visited there once and did not see any motorcycles, you are brave to ride there. Be safe.
@jwil2511 wow...thanks for the positive outlook....
i had 2 wrecks last year...due to potholes...but all i had was some roadrash...i recovered...i have a more forgiving and responsive bike now...i think as long as i ride carefully i'll be ok....

You should have kicked the cabs side view mirror off since he does not seem to have a use for it.
