  • They never explained what Kree means did they...?

  • @ServantofHymn Daniel Jackson said it meant alot of things. Like: Ready, Look Out, Engage and Shoot

  • another video that plays when you have no media players or plugins enabled.

'hands up who's got a snake in their head'

whoever uploaded or otherwise caused that, has many snakes in their head clearly.

  • Fun tutorial!!

  • For a much easier and better way: audacity : Pitch -17,00, and play a little bit around with the Phaser effect.

  • lol @ Watermelons!

  • man could you help me out ?? Im DYin and tryin to figure out everyday how to do this voice chek it out

  • So the Goa'uld voice is just...a phaser and a pitch shift? Really?

Wow. I wonder how much the the effects company charged the show to do that xD .

    -IMP ;) :)

  • Fetch me some watermellons! LOL, this is a great tuturial and I love the bit of music you added to it at the end, jjust adds that finishing touch to make it sound more realistic! And your eyes actually look like they're glowing anyway because of the light reflecting off of your glasses! Cool! KREE!

  • make ur voice like ben 10 if u can :D

  • can i make goauld voice in Sound Forge?

  • fetch me some watermellons xD

  • Fetch me watermelons... Most of the Gould system lords are black. Coincidence?

  • Dial The Chapaii!

  • Much easier way with WavePad:

    1. Record your voice.

    2. Go to effects - special effects - flanger.

    3. Choose preset "Strong" but increase "Modulation" to 3000 and apply.

    4. Go to effects - pitch change. And decrease as much as you want. (I use 88)

    5. Apply & Done :)

  • @TheFilmProducers OMFG thank you so much for telling me this. Its so much easier then his way :)

  • For Mac/FCP users, use the Pitch Shifter and/or Vocal Transformer to get the Goa'uld voice effect in Soundtrack Pro.

  • this is soooo awesome!! thanks for this :)

  • at the three semitone setting you sounded an awful lot like James Earl Jones, maybe you should have said: "Luke I am your mother" - that would have been even more hilarious than the watermelons...

  • This is so frickin' awesome! I'm going to prank call Richard Dean Anderson in a few ^^

  • x'D You are so awesomely random.

I love your enthusiasm, too. You seem like lots of fun. ^-^

  • Hey man, I had seen your video on the goauld voice and it inspired me to try myself

I was wondering what and were you got your software to do all your editing. Iv tryed to look for some but those i download never have the proper aspects required to do the 'goa'ulding effect'

    please help me out

  • You're such a geek...good job mate...lol

  • what is the name of the synthesizer you use

  • This is absolutely fantastic! Thank you!

  • lol- Freak

  • nice try but not quite!

  • I didn't know that he likes stargate.

  • oh i get it Teal'c and Apophis are both black haha watermelons.

  • Wow!! Live manipulation!! must find this software!

    Chel'nok!!!

    That's totally wicked!!

  • Ive been trying forever to make a good BORG voice.

Any Ideas on how to do that?

    Anybody?....

  • This is going to sound nuts and I will put a video of this up eventually but I can do a live goa'uld impression without any synthesizer or voice software.

The trick is to create an echo chamber on the top of your tongue. Have of the sound waves go around the tongue and the other half bounce off the tongue go down the throat and come back a moment later -hence two voice. It takes a while to get right though.

  • I had no Idea a Linden such as Torley is a STARGATE FAN!!!!

  • i meant the name of the program^^

  • yeah good question i also wanna know

    Wishing you all the Best!

    Joel.

  • THANK YOU!

  • It's Ableton Live, he said it 3 times

  • Lol really good in depth tutorial

  • nice i love it but where can i download this program?

  • Phenomenal job. Gives me chills, LOL. What program did you use

  • Very cool tutorial, handy tips. What I love to do to my own voice is reverse my voice sample and apply a short reverb to it, then reverse the audio once again to get that creepy affect often used in films etc. I would love to hear that applied with you method too =]

  • 03:40 I can't even tell how nerdy that was - still a very nice tutorial, well done ;)

  • Torley - is there any way to do this on a live stream? I was wondering if it'd be possible to put this effect (with the -3st transpose) onto my voice when I'm DJing in SL. I was thinking I could have Live output to an aggregate device then use nicecast's voiceover effect to blend in the Live vocal stream with the music which would be (most likely) played from iTunes.

  • I would absolutely love this too.

I could just picture leading a raid in World of Warcraft as a Gou'ald. :D

  • Totally - or you could tailor different vocal effects for different races. I'm thinking a Gnome voice would be pretty good, as will (after the new expansion) Goblin & Worgen effects.

  • Well done, but the altered voice needs more resonance to truly sound like a Goa'uld. Maybe just a slight touch of reverb would help?

  • what prognam is this? i have no sound...

  • That was cool. But what is the program with u did that cool voice?

  • AHAHA EPIC!!

  • Tek ma tae, Torley. Thanks!

  • EPIC xD Nice!

We all love you, Torley 8D

    Jk =D

  • Wow that was great. Let me try this with Reaper.

  • hehe torley great you must upload this as a gesture :D !

  • You don't need special effects Torley, the light reflected on your glasses gives your eyes sort of a glowing effect.

I bow to your great knowledgebase!

  • Hahaha Lol that twitching of the knobs sounds funny :P.
