  • This is a very weak rebuttal

  • @vicachcoup The argument itself is very weak.

  • That video is STUPID!

You CAN have an infinite amount if finite things.

The chocolate bar expirement doesn't prove the universe is not eternal. If you were ALWAYS flickering the flashlight, you could ALWAYS have had the chocolate bar!

And now, vaccuum flucuations have found a way to get something from nothing.

  • @anticorncob6

Incorrect - veomfangx explained clearly how no matter how many finite things you have , you still end with a dinite quantity.

'Vacuum fluctuations' if they do exist - are still not 'nothing'. You still need to explain how they arose

  • @vicachcoup Uncertainty principle is a law explaining vacuum fluctuations. You're now like a kid at a candyshop, when your mother says you can't have the gumball, you keep asking "Why?" Of course she will eventually get stuck!

You can have an infinite amount finite things, take an infinite amount of keyboards. Explain how such a thing is impossible.

  • @anticorncob6

Uncertaitly principle may describe it - fne if you say so - you still have to explain how that phenomenon got there.

Infinite is a theoretical concept - you cannot have an infinite amount of any finite things - impossible - if you prefer to believe it exists then that is your prerogative

  • @vicachcoup I've used mathematics to explain, and the mathematics comes directly from nothing. Again, you're being the little kid at the candy shop.

You still haven't proven you can't have an infinite amount of finite things. Take the series 1 + 1 + 1... which mathematically exists.

  • @anticorncob6

I don't understand our 'kid in teh candy store analogy' but I'm sure it isn't improtant to this debate.

Yo believe infinite exists as a reality rather than a mathematical concept - that's fine. I believe in the tooth fairy.

Perhaps psending too muchtime in the candy shop lost me my teeth . . .

    Try answering these 2 questions

1] Can you point me towards something we can measure that is infinite - what is it ?

2] Would you agree that time is finite?

  • @anticorncob6

Check this out too - type this into the youtube search

Who Created God? Where Did God Come From? Proof of God

    and look for this poster

'by LetsTalkChrist | 3 years ago | 176,390 views' ignore the christian spiel at the end :-)

The proof of God bit and discussion abotu infinity [first 2/3rsds is very interesting]

  • @vicachcoup Infinity does not exist in reality, but LetsTalkChrist (and anyone else for that matter) has failed to prove it. I've already watched that video, and it proves nothing.

By kid in a candyshop, you constantly ask "Why" to your mom that you can't have a candybar, she eventually can't answer, same thing when explaning the origin of the universe. Everyone's eventually stumped.

  • @AtheismIsCorrect

OK - I'm glad you agree infinite doesn't exist.

I still find that candyshop analogy of little use but like I said prob not important.

PS - atheism is correct is an interesting name - but a bit misleading don't you think?

If you say atheism is correct - you need proof there is no God. Proof, not opinion for that statement to be correct.

    Do you have any?

  • @vicachcoup I have great evidence God doesn't exist on my channel and I'll continue researching, and one so called "proof" the odds of him existing is less than 1 in 10^(14 octillion).

  • @AtheismIsCorrect

I might check that out - it bette be good lol to match up to all that confidence :-)

PS love the word octillion !

  • haha you're russian venomfangx! You speak English well. I think the video can not really be refuted though.. It's simple.. Time is not eternal, so it had a start point, which means whatever created it is NOT of time. They always were, always are, always will be. It's God, our beloved Father in Heaven. God is faithful, great, merciful and I'm so grateful to be His son!

  • @BibleIsland Which god?

  • as for the first 1:22 seconds of the video, you could say that you cant say for definite that its god, but you do have to say for definite that its supernatural. and God is a very good explanation!! it seems your trying to get away from the obviousness of God. and as for the next argument, God can do anything, so that argument doesnt really hold.

  • well said

  • How about all of his "proof" not being proof of any god at all. As in it could be aliens that created the universe, or multiple gods, or nature, or even really advanced humans using technology thats beyond our understanding. Out of all of them whats the most likely?

  • @NicosMind the answer that made itself, available, and make sense to us, God. If you think that the Christian God was just put together by some random people, than how do you explain how they would know that they would need to make this fake God, everywhere? The Bible says that God is everywhere. And in order for the universe to be here, there would need to be something omnipotent, omnipresent. do you think its just a coincidence that the bible people, and the way the universe has to be?

  • @MissKatRob And how do you explain atheists all around the world? And youre ignoring different faiths. Some faiths dont believe in any god only spirits, most faiths that came about used to worship multiples of gods, monkey gods, lightening gods etc etc. Its only the agressivness of the Abrahamic religions seeking to convert people rather than letting them arrive to their own conclusions. Indocturnating people when theyre children, slaughtering those who dont comply(or pretend)

  • @NicosMind Well maybe all these other "gods" were a sign that we all have a God shaped hole. Face it, you have something in you that nothing can satisfy but God! And the only reason Christianity has looked so bad, is because christians havnt accepted Grace to the extent that God intended. The law was only to show us how much we needed a savior! But grace is there waiting for belivers and atheists! Grace means, unmerited favor and love! God loves His children and He knows we cannot keep the law(:

  • @MissKatRob Well i do think theres the "god gene" that some people are more prone to believing in fairy tails than others. But this is especially true when people are indocturnated from birth.

However judging all others on your personal experience is a very basic and limited way to know the world. Is the world flat? Does the sun go around the earth? You havent looked at the subject hard enough.

And the christian god makes himself look bad killin over 2 1/4 mil.

    Plus this passage deut13: 13-16

  • @NicosMind watch a video called (Who Created God? Where Did God Come From? Proof of God) it disproves the big bang like uv never seen. and second, Christians have not taken fully to heart what (God's Grace) really means. The reason God seemed unmerciful back then was because His people didnt want His unmerited favor, they wanted to work for God's blessings, so He gave them what they asked for, (th Law of moses). but then when Jesus died for us, that all changed! we are forgiven of all sins!!!all

  • @MissKatRob "God seemed unmerciful" Seriously re-read that and put it into context,

Right when i was a christian i didnt believe in everything in the bibe. In fact i disbelieved a lot of it because it didnt make sense. Ie god was very definitely malevolent, much of it contradicted itself, and how the bible talked about Jesus wasnt consistent too. Fact was that i believed Jesus was just a man, the sun of god but not god himself.

So i have to know. Do you believe all of it 100%? 90%, 80% or 50%?

  • @NicosMind Funny you bring this up, just earlier today I found out the scripture that says "There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ when they walk in the spirit and not in the flesh" is wrong, because the translators added the part that says "if your not in the flesh but in the spirit". It wasnt in the original greek text! They didn't think it would be good for people to know that they are forgiven no matter WHAT, so they added the condition. But we are under grace now, not law!

  • @MissKatRob For the briefest of seconds i thought we had made a little progress but you didnt answer me. Do you believe everything thats written in the bible? Not just the bits that have been re-edited. For instance i heard that John the baptist was considered higher than Jesus, even by Jesus himself, and things were added and deleted to make it look like Jesus was highest. But im not talking about edits, im talking about all the stories.

Ive had many tell me its all 100% true.. im curious here

  • @NicosMind I dont know. There is alot that has been changed by catholics and translators. But the stuff that confuses us is probably the mis-translated stuff. But im not gonna walk away from The God of the earth. The God who has proved Himself.

  • your englsh is quite good
