AFAIK both lost their empires, Poland had become a part of Russia for 3 centuries and 've been under Russian influence until just recently, Swedish empire was splitted into numerous independent nations by Russians, half of ancient Sweden is still a Russian territory now.

This video refers to the tank battle at Prokhorovka not the entire Kursk Campaign fought on 2 fronts in 2 phases - the German offensive & USSR counteroffensive phases. I already stated that the Kursk Camp. had the largest number of tanks & SPGs in it & that has been known for a long time, although the 1944 Campaign in France actually had about the same numbers of Allied & German tanks & SPGs in it but it took place over a greater area of land.
No one has ever defeated Russians!??! How about Poles, Lithuanians, Ukranians, Mongols, Japanese, French, Brits, Turks, etc. Everyone gets defeated in wars & battles. Brit Operation Goodwood was much larger than Prokhorovka in number of tanks & SPGs employed by both sides. Kursk campaign was a bit larger than Normandy & France 1944 campaigns but nazi losses in France were more than their losses during Op. Bagration. But yes Euro Axis lost much more in USSR during the war than on other fronts.
British Operation Goodwood in Normandy involved more tanks & SPGs than Prokhorovka, although the entire Kursk campaign including the 2 USSR counteroffensives were a wee bit larger than the Normandy campaign & the rest of France in 1944, & we unfortunately ran out of petrol/gas as we had to transport everything across the seas. Germans had 92-109 APV's and russians maximum 393 between 10.7-12.7.43 In fact, it is smaller than a battle that took place between the French and the Germans in 1940. In front of Gembloux on May 14-15, two full-strength Panzer divisions (each with about 300 tanks) squared off with two full-strength French Light Mechanized Divisions (each with about 260 tanks).

@SeargentGunner yes that is true. the new tigers and panthers that came in 1943 where better then the t-34. i dont deny that. even many russian tank commanders exppresed there frustrations when fighting them. (they would have to attack the armor at its side where it was weakest) but the t-34 is rated as the best tank of the war and of all time still. not just by russian sources, but by most even american. this is a fact not me making it up. in my opinion, JS-2 was the best, but never saw action.

This video refers to the tank battle at Prokhorovka not the entire Kursk Campaign fought on 2 fronts in 2 phases - the German offensive & USSR counteroffensive phases. I already stated that the Kursk Camp. had the largest number of tanks & SPGs in it & that has been known for a long time, although the 1944 Campaign in France actually had about the same numbers of Allied & German tanks & SPGs in it but it took place over a greater area of land.

No one has ever defeated Russians!??! How about Poles, Lithuanians, Ukranians, Mongols, Japanese, French, Brits, Turks, etc. Everyone gets defeated in wars & battles. Brit Operation Goodwood was much larger than Prokhorovka in number of tanks & SPGs employed by both sides. Kursk campaign was a bit larger than Normandy & France 1944 campaigns but nazi losses in France were more than their losses during Op. Bagration. But yes Euro Axis lost much more in USSR during the war than on other fronts.

British Operation Goodwood in Normandy involved more tanks & SPGs than Prokhorovka, although the entire Kursk campaign including the 2 USSR counteroffensives were a wee bit larger than the Normandy campaign & the rest of France in 1944, & we unfortunately ran out of petrol/gas as we had to transport everything across the seas. The battle at Prokhorovka as the largest tank battle in history is simply just a myth. Germans had 92-109 APV's and russians maximum 393 between 10.7-12.7.43 In fact, it is smaller than a battle that took place between the French and the Germans in 1940. In front of Gembloux on May 14-15, two full-strength Panzer divisions (each with about 300 tanks) squared off with two full-strength French Light Mechanized Divisions (each with about 260 tanks).

@SeargentGunner yes that is true. the new tigers and panthers that came in 1943 where better then the t-34. i dont deny that. even many russian tank commanders exppresed there frustrations when fighting them. (they would have to attack the armor at its side where it was weakest) but the t-34 is rated as the best tank of the war and of all time still. not just by russian sources, but by most even american. this is a fact not me making it up. in my opinion, JS-2 was the best, but never saw action.

And also the first (prototype) tigers were superior in EVERY way! Even the JS-2 was no match for the tiger!

In 1939 and 1945 Russia/USSR took all back. 1989 is a natural part of future full collapse of USSR in 1991. And again Civil War-in 1993 Moscow was a scene of battles (even tanks were used).

Korolev ditched the german designs and engineering for the rocket program in Russia and pursued a completely independent design that he created. the v2 rocket technology was totally impractical for manned space flight - only maybe good for killing civilians in London. He is considered by many to be the father of practical astronautics.

The Poles & Lituanians beat Russia many times & captured Moscow 2 or 3 times with help of Russian Boyars. Russia lost the Crimean War & WWI, & the 1904-05 Russo-Japanese War in which I had 2 Polish relatives fighting in the Imperial Russian Army & Fleet & I do believe the navy one was at Tsushima (Цусимское сражение).

M1 Abrams was joint USA & German design with USA mods to gun etc. In WWII USA long 76mm gun was better than USSR 85mm & that is according to USSR military reports & tests, especially with HVAP. During Goodwood over 1,300 Brit tanks & SPGs attacked up to 400 German tanks & SPGs. Our casualties were lower even on the offensive in the pacific because we didn't waste our people away as Stalin did.

The Polish-Lithuanian-Ruthenian(Ukranian) Commonwealth captured Moscow 2-3 times & indeed defeated Imperial Russia in more than 1 war. The Crimean War was a Russian defeat as was WWI. The Poles etc. defeated the Bolsheviks in 1920-21.

@lazoization, Imperial Russia killed millions of indigenous Asians in expansion to the south & the Pacific Ocean, & so did the Bolsheviks & Stalin. The Indians/native Americans/ erroneoauly all called 'Eskimos' in Alaska were treated worse than the Indians in the continental USA. You should read about these things; books written by Indians & their ancestors & causasian USAers that were alive when these things occurred, & of course their descendants.

You convieniently ignored Bullecourt, Passchendale, Fromelles, Pozieres & Messines not to mention Gallipoli + the Somme. General Haig the butcher of the Commonwealth, because the B.E.F. was wiped by 1915 and needed Commonweal. help which Can. was a member of.
And then there was the originatator of the concentration camps the Great Lord Kitchener during the Boer War. By the time WW2 came the Commonwealth was spent. No operations could be mounted until 1944 while the real war was on in the east.

I think that Russia captured Berlin because they had more vested interest in it. Germany never attacked the U.S., but Russia was attacked by Germany. That would cause more Russian aggression, not to mention the fact that Berlin is an Eastern German city.
