I can't believe people can comment on this and say she has no technical ability... it's flawless. It's not the best Aria in the world, it's not upbeat, it doesn't have any fancy pants moments.. it sounds like it's efforless. It's just like she is breathing the entire time, perfect placement in the highest register. And that is hard to do.

I would MUCH RATHER here this sung by Devia or Eglise Gutierrez. Although I don't care much for Devia's lack physical moment on the stage, she at least sounds better. And, although I don't necessarily think Guitierrez has the prettiest sounding voice, at least her vocal technique is sound and her execution is superb. Ana needs to stick to the rep she's meant to sing and stop thinking she's capable of doing something that's way beyond her ability.

Why was this comment so poorly rated? It's absolutely true, her Ah is very modified into an Aw, which is what causes her tone to sound so heavy and covered.
As a fellow soprano, I think she's wonderful. No one is perfect, and if she would watch her breathe control and inner smile a little more, she'd be very close to it. She is beautiful, has a nice instrument, and is extremely talented.
Very wonderful performing and technique. As a singer she is very convincing to the audience, that's one of the most important factors to have as a performer.
In this lyrical moment she's convincing and sings lovely. In fact comparing this with Sutherland's who's famous for her recordings of this role I found myself prefering Netrebko's.
She's improved a lot in this performance, especially in terms of phrasing ...
Apart from "Ah non giunge", which still lacks enough technical steadiness to sound real Bel Canto, she's wonderful in the mostly lyrical parts like "Ah non credea mirarti" (including a beautiful albeit short trill).
The timbre itself is one of the most beautiful of our times. Brava!

I can't believe people can comment on this and say she has no technical ability... it's flawless. It's not the best Aria in the world, it's not upbeat, it doesn't have any fancy pants moments.. it sounds like it's efforless. It's just like she is breathing the entire time, perfect placement in the highest register. And that is hard to do.

I would MUCH RATHER here this sung by Devia or Eglise Gutierrez. Although I don't care much for Devia's lack physical moment on the stage, she at least sounds better. And, although I don't necessarily think Guitierrez has the prettiest sounding voice, at least her vocal technique is sound and her execution is superb. Ana needs to stick to the rep she's meant to sing and stop thinking she's capable of doing something that's way beyond her ability.

I think she needs to take a break from singing,and study with a really good teacher for atleast a year.
Anna seems to be a really nice and lovely lady.She has a beautiful voice and raw talent,it is just that when listening to this it is obvious she doesn't know fully what to do with it.

As a fellow soprano, I think she's wonderful. No one is perfect, and if she would watch her breathe control and inner smile a little more, she'd be very close to it. She is beautiful, has a nice instrument, and is extremely talented.

She's improved a lot in this performance, especially in terms of phrasing ...
Apart from "Ah non giunge", which still lacks enough technical steadiness to sound real Bel Canto, she's wonderful in the mostly lyrical parts like "Ah non credea mirarti" (including a beautiful albeit short trill).
The timbre itself is one of the most beautiful of our times. Brava!
