  • Use Startpage, Linux and all the browser extensions that protect you from Google, Microsoft, CIA, FBI and others!

  • fuck to my country blocked all porn site ^_^

  • Startpage was better than Google even before the new server. Startpage don't record your IP and isn't a front for the CIA like Google and Yahoo are.

  • She can install her cookie on my browser anytime.

  • this will work- unblockmyall

  • If a website can see the Startpage IP address, can a website ban that IP address? Is the Startpage IP address static or rotating?

    Thanks.

  • Startpage rules!

  • I does not Work its Blocked :(

  • I don't really like startpage. Its them that are breaking the law, the rules, the code. ah ha this know it all thinks I copy and paste crap. How special is that?

Anywho, Windows 7 and Google rock together. If I tell you I don't even have to think anymore, you liberals get mad. So you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself. It pleases me better than best. Soon I'm gonna let them handle my stocks. Oh I see, go head copy and paste now. not that part, that's a hidden virus 404.

  • StartpageSearch should offer email service.

  • thanks !!!

  • there has to be a new youtube. You-tube is shit now with the adversizing. just like there is a new search engine to beat google. a new youtube with "no censorship" computer nerds out there who wants to be rich here is a new project creat a new you-tube with no censorship or adversizing before videos

  • I love Startpage/IXQuick. I have Startpage as my home page and Ixquick as Firefox's default search engine.

  • What's the difference between startpage(dot)com and ixquick(dot)com ? Thanks!

  • Google has sold us out to the freaking FEDs. Death to Google!!

  • i cant seem to stream videos using the proxy server

  • @1fifthking4down Sorry about that...the proxy removes the "javascript" code of visited sites, so some features, like streaming videos, may not work, and the proxy also will not load frames that reside on a different external domain than the referrer. We appreciate the fact you are using Startpage and the feedback you offered. Cheers!

  • I use it all the time!

  • @MikeFromTheUK1 Thanks, Mike! We're constantly working to improve our service and value your input! Cheers!

  • Google put down Scroogle. Now they have to deal with StartPage, which won't be so easy, or even possible.

  • @TitusSviatoslav We're here to stay! Cheers!

  • @StartpageSearch Good stuff. Sent to all my subs.

  • @BakersBoyz Sweet!

  • How can I completely excommunicate google in everything but youtube? I hate it when I search something using mozilla firefox and startpage but for some reason it sometimes brings up a google search.

    Thanks.

  • @findyourintelligence Are you currently using Startpage as your default search engine in the Firefox browser? If not, you may want to go to the Startpage website and click the 'add startpage to your browser' link on the lower right. Let us know if that solves the problem! Cheers!

  • Very Good... I like it, yet improve by 60% if you get Mcafee website malicious red alert warning.

I entered a known EVIL website 'Danger! ' AntiMalwarebytes' Danger..do not enter or you will be sorry!.. No warning in StartPage..

There could be and StartPage will go from Good to EXCELLENT!! TG

  • what is this?... :-)

  • @NiceGuyBerlin What is what, exactly? :-?

  • Comment removed

  • This looks like some kind of future corporate video hehe, yet Startpage is one of the only search engines actually trying to PROTECT our privacy...Keep up the good work guys/gals!

  • TY Katherine and Start Page/Ixquick!

  • @pianopraze Our pleasure! Cheers!

  • great, now please improve your crawlers and image searches and I will marry u for good

oh. and if there is 400 pages in my search show a NEXT instead of jus 1,2,3 when i click on page 3; 4, 5, 6 will come up so there is more pages

it makes it appear that you arn't finding much; even though you are

  • @thegamefanman Great suggestion! Thanks!

  • Beautiful girl...

  • @resistance6 And brilliant. Ever seen Dr. Albrecht in Aaron Russo's America: Freedom to Fascism? :-D She's the all time great R.F.I.D. buster.

  • @anyusmoon1 Don't forget to check out 'Shadow Government' too! It contains even more information about the encroachments on individual privacy, online and off.

  • I'd like to believe this is a good thing, but exactly what's in it for StartPage to provide free search engine, with SSL, and no ads?

  • @zbridgjpxupzm Yes. Startpage's search and proxy services are completely free. Like many other websites and Internet services, Startpage generates its income from advertising. When you perform an Startpage search, you may see up to three sponsored search results at the top of the results page and up to two at the bottom. (contd...)

  • @zbridgjpxupzm (contd...) These ads are indicated by a contrasting background color. Clicking a sponsored link will take you off of the Startpage website to an advertiser's website. (contd...)

  • @zbridgjpxupzm (contd...)Unlike other search engines and websites that run sponsored ads, Startpage does NOT share any privacy-sensitive user data (such as IP address or cookie information) with the provider of these ads. Cheers!

  • But what if the government demands to see startpages, com info?

  • @16shells Great question! Short answer is that Startpage deletes both the IP address and the User ID cookie. Startpage does not record IP addresses or use Unique ID cookies. Bascially, there is nothing for any government to see...even if demanded! Cheers!

  • Cool !!

  • @matrix0156 Thanks!

  • This is amazing! I've been using it for the passed month. I hope you guys do well. I'd really like to see more products from you. Such as:

    1. Private internet browser

    2. Private email

    3. Private phone via internet (VOIP)

I thought google was working on something like this. Or maybe they didn't bother releasing their product since there was no competition.

  • @purplefetus3 Thank you for your suggestions! We are currently developing a private email service and exploring other ways in which we can enhance our offerings! We will make a point to keep Startpage users posted. Cheers!

  • @StartpageSearch For the time being, can I maintain my privacy for email by:

    1. searching yahoomail from startpage

    2. bookmark the search results

    3. open the bookmark everytime I wanna access email

    4. then open the proxy link for yahoomail (from the bookmarked startpage results)

    5. then login as usual and open emails ?

Would this essentially allow me to access email w/o yahoo knowing my ip address? Thanks for all your responses.

  • @purplefetus3 The short answer is no, that won't work. For security reasons, the Startpage proxy service does not allow users to enter data into forms, so you would not be able to enter your login and password information into Yahoo to access your account. This security measure is designed to prevent people from using the anonymity of the Startpage proxy to commit fraud and theft. (contd...)

  • @purplefetus3 (contd...) If people could log into password-protected bank accounts anonymously, for example, they could out your account and leave no trace. We realize the majority of people seeking anonymity on the Internet are upstanding and ethical, and apologize for any inconvenience this policy causes.

  • @StartpageSearch Wow! that's scary, I didn't think of that. So privacy can also be used for evil purposes. that's really too bad :(

I guess you just have to find the right balance of privacy. You can never have complete total privacy.

  • @purplefetus3

it doesn't work that way. you can't hide from Yahoo while you are using their email service.

  • @zbridgjpxupzm Exactly.

  • Been using Startpage for a while now and recently it's gotten slower retrieving pages. Guess everyone likes there privacy as much as I do. Let's pick it up Startpage.

  • @bigpappageorgio Sorry to hear that you've been experiencing slower service. Would you mind sending us an email (katie [at] startpage [dot] com) detailing exactly what you've encountered so we can most effectively address the issue(s)? Thank you!

  • i would love if i could use this on my cell phones browser

  • @specialchannel Great idea! We'll check into it...cheers!

  • I would love it if Startpage had an actual browser of it's own like ie, saffari, and others.

  • @Tulare73 Great idea - thanks for the suggestion. We strive to be the most effective and most private search engine, but we may be expanding our offerings in the future. We'll keep you posted. Cheers!

  • Dr. Katherine Albrecht is very is a very attractive woman.

  • I'd like to start browsing the internet through StartPage Search Engine. how I do start?

  • @EnricoGiampi Hey Enrico! Bugger that we can't insert the link here, but if you go to startpage dot c o m, just enter your search term then click the search button on the right. When the search results are displayed click the 'Proxy' link beneath the result you'd like to view to continue surfing anonymously. You may want to take another peek at the video above because no one can explain it as well as Katherine! Cheers!

  • Let Big brother watch I have nothing to hide. God sees all

  • @swiftles Just because Big Brother *can* watch doesn't mean he *has* to. For those people who choose to keep their searches private, they have Startpage! For those who don't mind being spied on, well, there's always Google, Bing, or Yahoo. Cheers!

  • That's what the last cow said that was tagged, killed and eaten.

  • I hope this proxy isn't blocked at school...

  • @lelenina2 It shouldn't be...but let us know if you run into trouble! Cheers!

  • Thank you for this very informative video. A friend In Australia told me about "Startpage." After sending the info to other friends, another friend in the U.K., told me about your link, here on "YouTube." I'm in the USA, and it's awesome to have friends come together from all over the world. Thanks for helping us continue to do that with a little more confidence.

    (Chase)

  • @Chase4everChase Hear, hear! Cheers!

  • Nice. I wish you could change the appearance in "My Settings" to something more minimalist and plain like Google. I think this would be more popular if you could make it *appear* like Google - all the minimalist benefits, but none of the leftist, biased search results that go with Google.

  • @numbskullandy Thank you for your input...solid suggestion! Cheers!

  • hate to say it but if startpage becomes more popular than google, it will become just as evil and corrupt. let's keep it relatively underground, boys and girls....

  • i dont even know wat in the world this new search engine is... but i agree with you...

although making another google grid, is going to be very hard... lol just wait till amazon and google merge... then we ARE FUKED

  • I hate to say it, but if StartPage doesn't get more popular they will disappear. So please, let's keep them alive and tell everyone about it. We'll deal with them becoming corrupt if and when they get corrupt.

  • @greenback001 Thanks for your support! Cheers!

  • Google hates startpage hehe

  • how about start page server?

  • I have to comment on the refreshing honesty of this PR presentation. I was about to ask here whether StartPage might slow service. or had other limitations.

Then she answered the question and honestly told of other possible drawbacks.

Can we legislate this format for PR announcements into law? I'd like to see it mandatory for all new Web, IT and software products!

Think of the time we could all save if all Info-product PR were this honest!

  • @DataRelater, If you want to support this sort of business practice, then be their customer and refuse to use competitors that are less honest.

  • Oui oui.

  • @DataRelater

And after that, Obama should take over the newspapers!

(after he's done with auto manufacturers, banks, oil, energy usage, and Afghanistan)

  • @DataRelater

The anti-Psychs don't understand how anti-depressives work, either - and still take Hubbard's pre-70's advice that they mask symptoms. So for those who do not understand how antidepressants work: Everyone's body creates seratonin. And everyone's body destroys seratonin. When the levels of seratonin become chronically low, a person suffers from depression and the more the person suffers, the more difficult it is to get to a healthy level.

  • Cookie Monster hates StartPage

  • is there a google chrome version?

  • @intindse yup I use that instead of Internet Explorer

  • Yes, their is a Google Chrome Startpage search engine add-on.

Go to the Startpage website and click the "more bubble" and on the left hand side click the link "add startpage to your web browser"

  • Firefox and probably Cometbird would be a more trustworthy browser than one created by Google.

  • As it should be. Thanks.

  • Finally

    One word - SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

  • Very well done Dr. Albrecht. Thanks for the video...

  • Dr Albrecht has been following privacy invading chip technology since it's inception. She blew me away when she reported that a popular restaurant chain was recording table conversations to better serve their customers. (?!)

A wealth of information at her website.

  • I have been asking myself the same thing. its hard to see who to trust. so far everything I have looked up on startpage and my own tracker blockers and all that, so far startpage barely gives them any info.

i am not giving anything full trust but so far, its better than google. I can say that now.

its only fair to be skeptical since we are watching this video because we all are.

  • @zerojoy We appreciate the confidence you *have* placed in us! We hope to continue to earn it with each of your future searches! Cheers!

  • nothing is 4 free

  • Katherine Albrect is so hot. She also happens to be an expert in RFID and internet tracking technologies..

  • R StartPage the real deal or R they the govt in disguise? Once your awake u gotta ask these questions?!?! yeah?

  • Well that looks like a nice CIA front company to really catch those trying to hide and they have no way of proving they aren't or some other spy agency site.

  • way cool

  • Wow, almost too good to be true.

I was already recommending StartPage to everyone I know.

Now I've really got something to recommend.

These guys are becoming like Internet heroes.

That's what Google gets for dropping the ball.

Google's motto is "Don't be evil" yet, for some reason, they simply refuse to stop recording search data ... even though the gov already forced them to hand over some of that data a few years a go.

    Thank you StartPage!

    ,

  • Thank you startpage!

  • she is very start page cute

  • Go Katherine :)

  • This is amazing!

  • StartPage rocks!!!!

A huge THANK YOU to Alex Jones for making me aware of it in the first place.

If you don't know who Alex Jones is then watch "Terrorstorm" or "Endgame" (which is on my YouTube account - NOT the new Hollywood film!).

    Peace to all!

  • Actually Dr. Katherine Albrecht has been promoting Start Page when Alex Jones was supporting Google which tracks everything about your searches and saves the information for 10 years. Give credit where credit is due.

  • I do bro'. I hadn't heard about Dr. Katherine Albrecht before the comments on this page. Had I have known then I would have mentioned it . I give credit where credit's due and it's TRUE that Alex Jones was the source of MY becoming aware of StartPage. Thanks for the honest response and please understand that I'm just clarifying my comment here, NOT trying to attack any individual. Peace and prosperity to all!

  • Alex Jones opened your eyes to the rabbit hole, but the more you learn and study, the more you will find out he is a cointelpro himself controlling all the patriot sheep. Many of us patriots who care and love this country have moved beyond Alex Jones now. Read about what happened between him and Bill Cooper (the real guy who warned us about 9/11 beforehand) or the way the AJ & GCN "gears" manipulated Jeff Rense off of GCN. Sickening.

  • This is huge. Can't wait till launch.

  • so now i have to find a browser that doesnt collect all my information and sell / use it for themself

  • @stevenosmond

I'm more concerned about finding an ISP that doesn't bend to the will of every government spook that comes knocking at their door.

Here's hoping StartPage is planning to start an ISP next. =D

  • Very true, i've heard of people making their own proxy service, guess you have to be very handy when it comes to cpmuter systems to whip that up, maybe its not even that hard? Somthing i'll look into. As for these comments about Alex Jones I had just happened to read. Doing somthing you love to do and then to get paid to do it is awsome, I think with all the information he has put out there and time of his life he's put into his broadcasts, deserve a round of applause not jealousy over money.

  • Hey Dave, I'm from Columbus Ohio and I am David Harvey the 13th from Aberdeen Scotland in 1304. David means Beloved of God and Harvey means Called to War or Warrior. Cool, eh?

  • Catherine just keeps looking more beautiful everyday! :>) I wish more women were as smart as her ::>>))))

  • It is not about having something to hide as much as not wanting the government to look. I am sure that sounds paranoid to most or many, depending on where you get your media, and what you believe or know about the powers that be or people who run the global show. Simply put, money rules, and money is power, and power corrupts. If you want to put your faith in your government like the Germans did with HItler, history is bound to repeat. After all, He was the Obama of his day.

  • it wasnt the germans it was the dutch. theirs a difference

  • thx a lot from germany :)

  • My goodness, Katherine is such a great lady. Thanks to all who helped create and run Startpage!

  • You people ROCK!.

    Startpage is pretty nice.

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent idea. Google will no longer be the center of the browsing universe.

  • My New StartPage 4 Life!!! The Proxy feature just makes it that much better.

  • awesome can't wait to use it

  • Woohoo!

  • katherine your a star...keep up the good work....well done for your part in shadow government...very informative.

  • I believe in privacy good job start page. Start page has not sold out to big brother

  • Sounds Good.

  • I wouldn't want anyone to read anything I'm looking up on google, so I guess Startpage is the way to go!

  • @XxMegaVidsxX ok, but it's already readable by everyone that startpage will block... so you are a little late wouldn't you think?
