Allaah's Messenger, ṣallaḷ-ḷaahu `alaihi wa sallam, said (interpretation of the meaning): "Say Aameen when the Imaam says ghairil-maghḍoobi `alaihim wa laḍ-ḍaaaaaalleen [not the path of those who earn Your Anger (such as Jews) nor of those who go astray (such as Christians)], all the past sins of the person whose saying [of Aameen] coincides with that of the angels, will be forgiven." (Ṣaḥeeḥul-Bukhaariyy, 782)
