Just finished watching this movie. Everybody seems to hate it (including Jackie himself), but I enjoyed it a lot.

Even though the action scenes are way inferior to JC´s usual stuff, the movie still has nice Dirty Harry-esque mood about it, and it was refreshing to see Jackie being a cursing badass for once!

I´ll give it 3 stars out of 5.

Yeah, I know. Everybody hates this flick. Especially Jackie Chan himself. But I can't help seeing how it must have influenced John Woo. The balletic gunfights in particular.

I can easily see Chow Yun-Fat in the role.

Ken Thorne's score for this movie is amazing. I have it on my iPod and listen to it all the time. It's almost like Yuji Ohno and Vince DiCola merged into a single being and wrote a soundtrack.

he hated the film director because he was inexperienced and and never re-shot scenes that needed to be. Jackie was really pissed about this movie because this movie was suppose to be his first movie for the American audience, and the director messed it up apparently.

I think The Big Brawl was a better film in that Jackie's personality and fighting style was closer to who he is in Hong Kong.
