  • great video,as someone who has trained with some of the people in this video,i can tell you it is a practial martial art that would be good in a real fight,it teaches proper defence and offence and control of kicks and punches with real use of power, people say boards do not hit back, but to break boards bricks and tiles you need good focus power and speed, and this style has been proven against other styles in international compertion by one of the duan grades in this video.

  • boards dont hit back lol

  • Bruce lee used to break boards all the time havent you seen him do it watch it on his demos you cant diss shaolin you name one person who can break iron bars across there head they train for 7 hours a day there the most power full kung fu masters in the world and as a tang sou dao member its a chinese art great vid

  • To all saying that it is Korean: I can tell you, as a Practitioner of Tang Sou Dao myself, that it is, as title suggests, Chinese!

It has a Korean tradition in Tang soo do.

    Source: tangsoudao

  • and technically this is a Korean off shoot of Kung Fu, etc so....that's that...

And yes I would say that it's prolly a bad idea to perform the Dancing Dragon when you see some body on the street trying to kill you...but if you condense and understand what each strike in that form teaches you, it can become lethal....(another Chinese Martial art reference)... NOW I am done on the subject...b/c this is a Korean vid lawlz xD

  • in response to those dissing Chinese martial arts...yeah there is the showy aspect to it which i agree is a little ridiculous, but the styles of Chinese Martial Arts tend to use forms so that it becomes second nature and effective in combat..confusing your opponent with a hit to the right then going left beside the bicep and up the face is VERY effective and tricky to do...and every Martial art has at least some aspect of showiness to it..because lets face it...it looks cool and works.

  • very good

  • It's Korean....

Then again Kung Fu is the grandfather for all martial arts

  • Nice video! I think alot of people misunderstand or are misinformed what breaking is about. Its there as a platform to build confidence, you have to believe that you are going to break that brick else no matter how strong you are it will never break. You have to overcome your fear of injury and self doubt, this sort of mental training can help in many aspects of life. Therefore is this really such a bad thing? Try to remember not everything in martial arts is about hurting people.

  • Great video. I could watch it over and over. Brings back great memories.

  • Tang Sou Dao... The Mighty Art of.. Breaking Bricks O_o

  • TANG SOU DAO

    RULES

i do this and won a trophey and two medals

    master loke is scary

  • ''Boards don't hit back.'' Bruce Lee- Enter the Dragon (1973)

I dislike martial arts that break boards. It means nothing. This martial art is one of many Chinese 'show-off' technique style martial arts, that prove to be useless in real life scenarios. Lets face it= =

  • @gameofskate yea bruce lee speaks the truth no doubt from a legend like him ,dats why i dont like and hate shaolin, wushu and arts that break boeards coz its really useless in fights, thats what bruce lee called the "fancy mess" of chinese martial arts, chiense martial arts are good at performance but not very in fighting, see ya bro u rock

  • Does anyone know if Tang Sou Dao has any relationship with the Korean martial art - Tang Su Do?

  • Fantastic video! shame about the name of the media company at the end lol

  • can sum1 tell me wer is dis ?

  • @djfayaz9973 well the main headquaters for tang sou dao is in grays kent but there are many branches of this form of martial art all over england however if you want training from the founder of this art Master Meng Kwong Loke (the man at the end demonstrating the handspear) then you would have to come to grays....

  • nice and full of precision ... but i still more like Ving Tsun

  • me 2

  • i like

  • great, I'm proud to be a part of REN YI WU KWAN

  • woo, never seen Master Loke demonstrates handspear wooden board before till i see this video.
