  • ARGH I wish I had the money for a 8800. I love my 8000, but I want 8 audio tracks

  • what is the most efficient way to learn this

  • i got it for 600 dollars with 2 cds with sounds cant beat that deal

  • you make me wanna get this machine even more.... but wat are the disadvantages of the roland

  • How do i connect a midi keyboard (akai mpk 49) to the MV? How about the settings in the MV?

  • can u record vocals on this? like sing a song and record.

  • @gamhazell Yep. You could do it all with this machine alone.

  • I Just bought a used MV-8000 for $650 with all of the expansions and current MV-8800 OS upgrades. This machines is definitely a beast, especially with a MIDI Keyboard controller. I don't even need to use my SP-808 or DR-5 drum machine anymore. The MV does every and anything you can imagine. I'm going to be busy as hell with this thing for years. I love it!

  • OK. Send me one! :)

  • How did he load the fx into track 3. I tried to load some bass fx but I can't hear anything, and I see no option in the parameters to load the fx in there.

  • how much does a roland mv 8800 cost???

  • like 2 grand but e-bay you can find it cheaper

  • how much does it cost to buy a roland mv 8800?

  • @flipc1000 Now $1100 brand new! I got mine!

  • @Sinosure could you hook me up with your source? here in europe the cheapest I found was 1250 Euros on e-bay. So 1100$ brand new would still be alot cheaper even if I had to pay delivery charges. would really appreciate it...

  • when did this come out, the machine?

  • I have a roland mv 8800 it's awsome !!!

  • 4 me this is better than lots of akai mpc like 5000 , 4000 , and 2500

  • why is the roland better than the akai? I got the 2500 and was wondering the differences??

  • this apparently got a shitload of built in sounds and effects. plus its got the 24 tracks. idk how much an mpc has but.

  • SICKNESS!!!!! Dope!

  • Nice maschine! I think I will buy it,

    nice oldskooL joint ;)

  • thats a tight beat

  • i do own a mpk49 though

  • pretty sweet machine, the mpc5000 seems pretty tight too, but for the money it doesnt give you nearly as much as a good DAW.

  • Nice Lesson. Come Check Me Out. Tell Me What I'm doing wrong.

  • i want one of these so bad. wanting to cop it when prices go down or something.

  • hi. was wondering if someone could help me. im not sure if i should get an mpc 2500, an mv 8000, or a fantom x6. i dont know which one to pick. ive saved up enough money but i dont know which. what could be recomended? thanks. also whats easiest to use?

  • I would go with the fantom G series. I have a fantom myself and im loving it!!!

  • I'd go with the MV-8800 and buy a midi keyboard that you hook up to it. Fun and great quality guaranteed!

  • I was trying to figure out if i wanted an mpc or the mv...but you know how even if you go to guitar center and try them out. You have no idea what ur doin...lol...this helped a lot...thanks

  • Hey when you record vocals does it go to the hard drive or the the sample ram?

    plz reply

  • It goes onto the sample ram while you are recording. Once you save your project, however, it goes onto the hard drive. If there is not enough WAV space for you, you can buy a bigger hard drive.

  • 40gig harddisk is WAY more space than you'd ever need though and with the CD burner in there, it's never been easier to export your songs and so on. I'm currently using a MV-8800, got LOADS of samples and I haven't even passed the 5gig... If I would clean up my sample base a bit, I'd probably have around 3 to 3.5gig of samples I really use. Don't use the hard-disk as storage space for songs though as every HD eventually wears out.

  • so you dont think the hd will last ver long

  • would this machine be any good to make house?

  • oh yea

  • its good for any kind of music you want, i just ordered me one.

  • Yeah, plenty of people I know who make house on this machine. In fact, I know people that make rock music with this... a little bit like Linkin Park, but less metal, more rock. It's a pretty damn versatile machine!

  • solesystem ure better off getting the fantom x6 cos it can do most of the things that the mv 8000 can do

  • Both!

  • man i still dont know if to get the fantom X6 or the mv8800, cos i like hip hop n rnb but i also like to do my own melodies cn someone help

  • I had the x6 its awesome but i now have the 8800 and i like it too I wish I still had the x6 it would be an awesome combination

  • get the mv8800 its the most powerful machine out...and get a korg controller keyboard since you say you like to do your own melodies its gone cost you bout $180.00

  • I know you posted that 8 months a ago, but big cosign to that my friend!

  • yes they are....:)

  • Are those stock drums from the mv8800?

  • After having watched the fantom x demo it seems this machine is much slower with all the load from HD, assign to pad issues. You can do the same thing with an external cd player hooked to an audio patchbay then into the fantom. Then you can master into an external recorder. I just can't see having to wait to load patches and not having them ready for audition.

  • Hottest Machine out i love it

  • mv 8800 are dope, pity only one multifx unit onboard

  • cant wait till i get minez

  • good bye mpc!

  • This machine is hot like an oven.....
