@Luuster21 Yeah the tiny insect would be a challenge to hit at a burst of energy striking its food. Put that into application and practice will help his accuracy faa SHiiizzzlle...but the question and trick is can he use that deadly accuracy to only attack one vital spot. Once u achieve this... u have trained your fighter to be a true champion.

@Luuster21 Well if they look old and bigger in size and they're nonactive..... ..also when you buy they.... they can be any age from 4months to 10 months...once they hit a year old or more, they become less active if not kept well.- (change water and fed with good nutrition).

Um . My betta i think it lost its fighting. Its not wven AGRESSIVE! I went ahead and i put my two bettas together and my plakat wont fight!

@Luuster21 He's not in the right mind set.... when u place them together they should be flaring....SOmetimes as they get older they lose their agressive edge.

Btw y do u have to put the water level of the fighters resting jar so low?

@Luuster21 after training and in between training... i just lower the water level so he doesnt have to swim up high to get a breath.... but if you're kepping them as pet/ stock then use a gallon jar.

@Luuster21 It depends.....Where the source is. The nice thing about petshop, is that you dont have to pay the transhipping price which usually cost as much as the fish it self. BUt with Petshop fish...if its not a specailty store that only sells plakat fighters... u will get lower quality fighters.... If u just a starter and not really playing high stakes match... its better to start with petshop fish.

Ya because im putting my two OWN bettas(king plakat and crowntail) together. But usually they run away and just flare at eachother

Could u put a male and another male in a tank and get them to chace or a practice fight to get them aggresive?

@Luuster21 U could if it's just for fun and not a match for money.. usaully once they fight the loose their advantage of being fresh....Usually fresh = harder bite force or some would call sharper teeth... SSOOOoo..By fighting them..it may dull their teeth....BUT would be very FUN...right.?

@Luuster21 I could.... but this is too get the fighter use to different water types...Especailly if he has a match...The match usually consist of fresh water... I have use that method b4 just to rest the fighters.... but with plenty of jars and tanks... i place them seperately.

Do u think that the banting method would improve its muscle? If not what is the best thing u sugfest

@Luuster21 It really depends on your fish and its fighting style.... If its a slapper/ counter and has a long body... then i would do banting....Otherwise female chasing is the best and most natural training. WIth short body...banting might make them stiff and slow their speed down.

@Luuster21 IAL can be bought on Ebay/ Aquabid.com or your local betta shop. I personally by from Aquabid....Also Try dry banana leaves...Its helps with scales- slime coat and diseases.

@Luuster21 Fresh fish is always best...Also, its genetics...Generally, The older they get, the less aggressive they become. But female enticing and female chasing is the easiest way. Also don’t forget the basics...place them in solitude and flare the fighter 10mins at night and in the morning.
