2 of my copies of this game is japanese and US version

now i got one at local store only costs 90 cents!

This one is US so the number will be in MPH so i got this one

at the straight it reached 230MPH about 370km/h so that's fast!

Such an epic game, took me so long to get all gold trophies in the Extra GP. I actually almost broke one of my TVs when i was younger trying to do it the first time.

I didn't have a problem with the Oval, but i think it was Overpass City that gave me the most problem due to the hills, i couldn't master MT in this game so the Lizard Bulldog was out for me.

One of the things i loved though, was going back to class 1 with a class 6 car and lapping the hell out of people for lols.

Probably one of the best racing games for the playstation without a doubt. Easily the most consistent in terms of style and execution. A little dated, but so massively enjoyable.

This game was awesome back in the day! I remember buying one of those mini cars and tuning it up with a big engine and the boot used to stay open when you did a race because the engine was bigger than the boot space!

i still played on this even when the xbox was out and playstation was kinda going stagnant,

but its was hard because the cars get faster and i couldn't change the gears quick enough in the faster manual cars which drove me nuts

I've never made it this far. That care you're in sounds like an F1 race car... and races like one! I'd have to imagine this is one of those Stage 4 cars that are Manual only. I should know since I've lusted for the Assaulto Gheppardo. One wicked game. Congratulations!

Must still rate as one of the fastest-feeling racing games ever? A lap in 21 secs is pretty fast anyway!  I remember playing this, and developing my swearing ability immesurably on the "Final" stages where you got the unthinkably fast stuff (like the Devil car in this vid, which IIRC I could launch in third gear) going against the uber-1337 opposition which also drove unthinkable fast stuff really REALLY well.

I always hated the Great Oval, especially with really fast cars like this one... you're "locked" onto some tracks, and suddenly if you fall out of one you BURST into the wall, just like that. :p Also, bumping into cars makes you instantly lose. :(

Did anyone here ever finish the game, I got gold in all 3 final GP's (probably one of the toughest things I have ever done) All that happens is the title screen goes gold.

I always remember seeing the billboard just before the final straight saying "Devil Car? Complete model change". Anyone shed any light on this?

I finished the game some time ago. But what happened was that everything went back to class one with the first car except that the extra GP is still here. So you may say it "erases" everything except your access to extra GP.
