She doesn't say that the U.S. worked with Bin Laden himself all the way up through 9/11/01 (although I wouldn't exclude the possibility that some element or project in U.S. intelligence did exactly that). She says the U.S. continued to work with groups like Al Queda and the Taliban and to have close relations with them up through 9/11/01.
