@fenderkid6 No you idiot. In 'Mother Nature's Son'. The Beatles' song - Money (Thats What I Want) is used ont he drive to Brighton. (I said Blackpool in my last comment, which was wrong).
Pink Floyd's song, 'Money' is used in the episode 'Cash and Curry' in which Del and Rodeny are pawning all their stuff to get money for the statue for Mr. Jahan.
@loltion So you just leave a comment saying that it's not the beatles?? look it up before you comment, or back it up with evidence, It is the Beatles.
"Money (That's What I Want)" is a song covered by The Beatles. The song was originally by American singer Barrett Strong. The Beatles' version is featured as the closing track on their album With the Beatles.
@XxooTEMPLARooxX Why be so defensive? I don't need to back it up. Listen to Money, as performed by The Beatles, then listen to that piece of incidental music and it's not the same. Maybe it's a derivation of 'Money' but it's certainly not The Beatles. If you think it is then you haven't heard the Beatles version. No need to be upset over something so trivial.
@XxooTEMPLARooxX Have you taken that from Wikipedia? If so, I'd take that with a pinch of salt. Don't mean to harp on but the music at 1.10 (that's what we're discussing, right?) really doesn't sound like The Beatles version of 'Money'. If I'm wrong then fair enough. (Error messages kept popping up when sending this, thus my previous comment).
@loltion The Beatles song Money was originally in the episode, but for copyright reasons its now been changed, which is probably the source of the confusion.
@XxooTEMPLARooxX This episode originally included the Beatles' version of Money. But as the BBC didn't want to pay the licensing fees to use songs featured in the series, they've gone back and edited out loads of songs (along with the scenes they were in) on Only Fools DVDs. Hence there is now an instrumental piece here and some crappy version of Our House played in Time On Our Hands.
i remember watching this at christmas 1992. i wasn't really watching it properly as i was only 9. 18 years is along time in your first 30 years. It seems more lke 50 years ago.

@bugatti456 wrong, that was written by Barry Strong.
fenderkid6 5 months ago
@fenderkid6 *Barret Strong, yet still performed by The Beatles. And that doesn't even have anything to do with the stupid point you were making.

@loltion that was not defensive, sorry if the comment seemed defensive. Had no malicious intent what so ever.
Just saying that the song was performed by the Beatles, that was a cover probably done only for OFAH as it's the same rifts repeated over and over.
XxooTEMPLARooxX 7 months ago
@XxooTEMPLARooxX Fair enough. But then, by your own words, if it's another cover of 'Money' it has nothing to do with The Beatles. :)))
