  • Who dislikes this? SHOW YOURSELF

  • I love how he keeps saying "Dear Emma", it actually SOUNDS dear!

  • i don't no if i'm making it far more complicated than it needs to be but i can't understand what they're playing. Is it just rearranging the letters? if someone could explain to me that would be great thanks!

  • @Drifting9Water yes ...that's it !

  • I support Shadowblaster222's statement fully!

If there are ANY secret looks in this, then those are the looks Emma recieves from Mr Knightly ;) I'm watching tis for te 6th time by the by

  • You can tell how painful it is for him to be in the room with her. He looks so uncomfortable. And how nervous he gets when she asks if he is staying for supper. He just can't bear to stay when he believes she loves Frank. But you can tell he is trying to show how much he loves her. If anything there are secret looks Mr. Knightley gives Emma.

  • "And as for Mrs Knightley, we all wonder who she may ever be." "Emma..." ;)

  • ...forget it...

  • what does dixno mean?

  • @deviledpigs it's a shop

  • seriously, i don't understand why jane fairfax marries that douche frank churchill - he totally treats her like shit.

  • The Knightley/Mrs. E exchange: BOOM!! or BOOSH!! Classic.

  • 2:38 He's checking out her ass---followed by a drifting shot of the posterior in question xD Naughty Knightley!!

  • looooool, she's great at making fitting matches, but soooo blind when it comes to herself. He's so obviously jealous a child could guess it AND he just 'visits' all the time and completely by accident...because he likes walking down that particular road. hahaha

  • "and as for mrs knightley, we may all wonder who she may be..."

    "emma - "

  • @ohdontpanic42 Oh! I just got it !! I'm so stupid than Harriet I confess .

  • love mr. knightly :)

  • i love mrs westin...

  • Frank Churchill is really bad at scrambling words. BLUNRED? DIXNO? Be more creative, man!

  • Poor Jane!!

  • LOL @ 4:40-4:50

You can see Mr. Knightley's thinking process:

"oh god oh god oh god she knows..." to "dammit! of course it's about churchill -.-"

  • aww he is jealous of emma's relationship to frank, but he hides his feelings soo well cause he is more mature, and sophisticated. how sweet.

  • Mr. Knightley is so cool and mature.

  • i love how he says dear emma

  • i dont know why but i think emma looks so so so gorgeous in that green dress she's wearing at 7:22

  • Is anyone else reminded of Drew Barrymore by the girl who plays Emma? She even says insufferable like she does in Ever After

  • Oh my God, when Emma tells Mr. Knightly that she knows he's trying to look out for her "as an older brother would" I wanted to DIE!!! It just made me so sad for him...Still LOVE this movie! I've always LOVED the Kate Beckinsale version, and even tough I still prefer her as Emma Mr. Knightly in this is PERFECT, and the fact that it's so much longer means that it can really hold true to the book, which I really do like.

  • ...as an older brother...

  • yes emma, thats right secret looks

  • I wonder who Mrs. Nightley would be... Emma,... if she only listened, he already told it...:-))

  • when he says Mrs Knightley, was i the only one who notice that he looked straight at Emma after he said it?

  • @xxsun4mexx I saw it!

  • Why does the word dixon mean so much to Jane if she never had any feelings for him?

  • @Jelllyomlett because she knows, that everybody supposes they had an affair and she can't protect her virtue and tell everybody that she is a married women.

  • @Jelllyomlett because it was through Mr. Dixon that Jane and Frank met/formed an attachment.

  • I really love the last scene between Emma et Mr Knightley..

  • Emma would be considerd a ditz and a gossip if she were in high school today lol

  • @blackhorsecherrytre3 Hence Alicia Silverston in Clueless : )

  • Haha am I the only one who automatically thought she was going to say "But I'd have to kill you"

after she said "I could tell you?"

  • For all her intelligence and beauty, Emma is ridiculously blind.

  • @0:46 "No, there is but one married woman in the world who I could ever allow to invite what guests she pleased to Donwell." "Mrs. Weston is suppose." "No. Mrs. Knightley. And until she is being I will manage matters myself." I love Mr. Knightley, very witty!

  • Emma is so pretty!

  • At 0:41 when he says "No, Mrs. Knightley!"... and then Emma and the others turn to look at him strangely I burst out laughing at the irony because SHE becomes Mrs. Knightley!

  • I can't handle how hot Blake Ritson is in this... :P

  • Why is Churchill teasing her wth the words "blunder" and "dixon"? Is it because he's trying to tell her he is jealous? Or he is just joking?

  • @iwishiwasalice Spoiler alert! When Churchill spells out blunder, he is referring to the groups earlier walk, where he had been persistent in telling Mrs Weston that she had written to him about the Perry's hopes of getting a carriage. Mrs Weston didn't recall it as she hadn't written it. It had been Jane who had written him about it. Jane coughed to stop him.

  • @rmmitchellicious Thank you for your reply and for clearing that up!

  • Why is Churchill making up the word "Dixon" ? Is it because he is trying to tell her that he's jealous? or is he just joking?

  • Again, Mr. Knightley is telling Emma to her face that there is a secret between Frank Churchill and Jane Fairfax. Why is Emma so wilfully blind? Even when the information is handed to her, she refuses to see.

  • Mrs. Knightley... haha I loved the irony of the situation.

  • why cant we wear pretty dresses like that everyday.....hmph

  • Well, women can wear pretty dresses every day today, if they wanted. From what I've heard, most women prefer pants, more is the pity.

  • Well Jane is very reserved and a man by the name Dixon saved her life. I dare say she admires him greatly, and he lives in Ireland, but I think he has been sending her letters. I think she loves him. She is just very shy.

  • Why was "Dixon" such a bad word during the game... why did it make her upset?

  • @godslitleprincess I think the story of Mr. Dixon saving her when she was at Weymouth is a cover story. I think that it was actually Frank Churchill that saved her, but to keep her aunt, Miss Bates' from suspecting anything & telling everyone which would have jeopardized the secret engagement, they used the name of Miss Campbell's betrothed, Mr. Dixon as the cover. And because Frank is a 'jokester' and Jane is stressed by keeping the engagment quiet, just the mention of the lie is stressful.

  • thanks

  • If anyone is interested in reading Emma from the perspective of Mr. Knightly, Amanda Grange has written a very good version called "Mr. Knightley's Diary". She also wrote "Mr. Darcy's Diary" and "Captain Wentworth's Diary", all of which were very good.

  • oh my, how very exciting. thank you for sharing the information.

  • Oh my goodness..."we young people"....he almost died!

  • I love how animated Harriet is when she figures out the word (1:17). She's so cute!

  • WARNING/POSSIBLE SPOILER: So, if Mr. Knightley suspects that Frank Churchill and Jane Fairfax have formed an attachment toward each other and are secretly in love, then why does Mr. Knightley look so impish whenever Frank and Emma are playful with each other? He knows that Frank and Emma are not together... right? Is it that Mr. Knightley thinks that Emma has an attachment for Frank and he's jealous?

  • i dont know i dont get it either!

  • WARNING/POSSIBLE SPOILER @SoftHeartConviction: i think he acts weird out of jealousy, but also because he fears that Emma loves Frank, and that she is going to suffer because she doesn't understand what's going on

  • @SoftHeartConviction: I think it's because he's worried for Emma? They seem attached and yet Frank is engaged to Jane. Or maybe he's jealous of all the attention?

  • Wow, he completely believes she's in love with Frank. Pretty devastating to him, obviously.

  • I've loved this guy since Hackers came out!!!!!

  • I love when he looks up when she says 'as and older brother would'

  • I am really enjoying this adaptaion. The story feels fresh and the characters are all so lively.Thank you for uploading it.

  • still on the fence as regards to this adaption...but i do love that it is long...they have plenty of time to develop the characters and relationships.

Love the interaction between emma and mr. knightly in the episode.

    thanks for posting :)

  • Some of these actors remind me of other people

    Mr. Elton - Shia Labeauf

    Emma - Drew Barrymore

Harriet - Taylor Swift (lol, in a weird way)

Frank Churchill - Heath Ledger (when he smiles)

  • OH MY GOD! I totally thought of Taylor Swift when I thought of Harriet too XDD hahaha

  • Hahaha! I love the fact that Emma is so wrong about who likes who throught out the movie...but she never gives up - totally cracks me up :-) I love it!

Cat4fab - THANK YOU so very much for uploading this!

  • That's why the modern adaptation of the story of Emma is called "Clueless". She really is clueless!

  • The thing I liked most about Clueless was Brittany Murphy :( Making Tai (Harriet) a clueless teen outcast with bad hair dyed red was an interesting choice to begin with (being someone's "natural daughter" wouldn't bring much drama), but Murphy was awesome, she really nailed the transition from clueless to presumptuous

  • @boya307 OH MY GOD i had no idea lol...it makes sooo much sense!! i thought of the characters...cher's constant projects and matchmaking...elton...ty....lol it just blew my mind! lol..forgive me i become so suprised by these kinds of things lol

  • Thanks for uploading.Love how everyone is shocked when Mr Knightley says Mrs Knightley.I was unsure of Johnny Lee Miller when i heard he was cast but he was very good.He was good in Mansfield Park too.

  • @tergygirl I LOVE Johnny Lee Miller!!! So good in Mansfield Park. :)
