it may or may not be, there a multiple pics of the diamond 2 and the pro 2 coming out for att, apparently it has already passed the fcc tests for att but we are not sure yet, we knnow it may be going to verizon, t-mobile and sprint, and it should be coming out next month in july or something, but thats no promise.

Funny that when he talks about changing the right softkey, he fails to mention how this was already available for the original Touch Pro by tweaking. Good old XDA. Actually, most of the improvements were already available thanks to XDA. (More responsive tweaks etc, increase cache)

Personally I hate it. Technology advances a bit too fast. MP3s, digital cameras, phones, HDTVs. The second you have a specific item in sight and decide to go ahead a get it, poof, another item appears on the market making you rethink your decision, and when you DO manage to get something, something better for AROUND the same price comes along.

That may be true for you, 68tony1968. However, I use my phone for work and it's still a Windows dominated business world. No smartphone is compatible with Windows like a Windows Mobile Device. I need business functionality. I'm not interested in a glorified media player that let's me play monkey ball using the accelerometer.

A "couple of hours" was all I needed to see that the iPhone is "cool", but not particularly useful to adults.

You are comparing regular feature phones with a high-end feature phone. Of course there will be a difference. However, the iPhone is just that, a feature phone. It is no comparison to a business phone such as the Touch Pro2.

I don't know why peeps always have to compare every phone that comes out to the iPhone. Maybe a fair comparison would be the Blackberry Bold or more obvious attempts to compete with iPhone but this phone, as you pointed out is aimed at business users. When this comes out, it's already been mentioned that it will be more than 600 Euros which equates to over $900 for American currency. I like this phone regardless of the size but I don't know if I want to shell out that kind of paper for it.
