I can see how the hidden pocket in the pants would come in handy if someone is trying to relieve you of your cash but there are other ways. The jacket is way too much for me. I would prefer a small Tactical Integrated Gear Emergency Response Belt or "TIGER Belt". Commoners refer to them as fanny packs. Oh, By the way, I thought prices on these items would be sky high but no... they are affordable.

I have read several comments and 1st.Ron Hood knows his survival gear and has taught skills for a very long time.2nd.martial arts have their benefit which is why I have trained for years(and I have my carry permit)Because one junkie with a gun has bullets that are faster than me any day of the week. and 3rd.The idea is to look like you aren't carrying much so a backpack has its place but it isn't very inconspicuous.Just my 2 cents.

What a waste of time & money!! I'll stick to my little daypack because it carries more, easier to access & won't walk around in a stupid, heavy jacket wonder which pocket I put my autographed picture of Ron Hood.

I think his condescending tone was in response/reaction (to what he perceived as) yours. Practicality is relative. Going on a nature walk, obviously one is not going to need most of this.
