I can see how the hidden pocket in the pants would come in handy if someone is trying to relieve you of your cash but there are other ways. The jacket is way too much for me. I would prefer a small Tactical Integrated Gear Emergency Response Belt or "TIGER Belt". Commoners refer to them as fanny packs. Oh, By the way, I thought prices on these items would be sky high but no... they are affordable.
I have read several comments and 1st.Ron Hood knows his survival gear and has taught skills for a very long time.2nd.martial arts have their benefit which is why I have trained for years(and I have my carry permit)Because one junkie with a gun has bullets that are faster than me any day of the week. and 3rd.The idea is to look like you aren't carrying much so a backpack has its place but it isn't very inconspicuous.Just my 2 cents.
What a waste of time & money!! I'll stick to my little daypack because it carries more, easier to access & won't walk around in a stupid, heavy jacket wonder which pocket I put my autographed picture of Ron Hood.
Besides, i really don't think Ron's testimonial was all that impressive, I mean, spare me with the outlandish Hummer & the rest of the silly accouterments he displays. If the Shit were to really to Hit The Fan, that fat body wouldn't really know what to do without his Latte maker.
wait ummm why would you want to hide the gear? - just a question because it seems this whole video is talking about it but it never explains why you would want to hide the gear...... and basically is a coat with a lot of pockets in it.......lol
@00Avenger17 Well you asked a year ago so who knows if you're still around. Anyhow it's always a good idea to be discrete. What people don't understand, they fear. They will make up in their heads why you carry what you do then attack that rather than actually try to understand. They freak out especially when they start making conclusions based on assumptions. Survival gear>weapons>danger>call the cops. Or they will make fun of you."Why do you need all that Rambo?" The people who... continued
@00Avenger17 ... tend to make fun of us who are prepared are always the ones who come whining and begging for help when a real emergency occurs. It is like clock work, every time. Keeping a low profile is just a good idea. It gives less opportunities for the countless idiots to stick there nose where it does not need to be. Being prepared is more than just carrying a lot of gear. It is about having a mature attitude and not being a show off.
@newcoyote Your response to quite a simple question is a little patronising and gives me a sense that you feel you are superior in some way. Isn't that slightly immature? Your not so subtle hints of me "whining and begging" when I'm in danger is a little laughable. I live in Norway. I go out regularly and love nature to the full and respect it. However merely talking from a practical perspective this is ridiculous. Good day to you Sir.
@00Avenger17 Patronizing? Immature? I gave a thought out explanation based on a great deal of experience. I did not adress YOU in particular did I? I gave reasons. Your reply is nothing but a red herring. How does your accusations of my character, true or not, have anything to do with my points? Is that seriously your position? I think YOU are the one implying some kind of superiority by saying you know better with your martial arts & knife. Reply if you must but bring SOMETHING compelling.
I think his condescending tone was in response/reaction (to what he perceived as) yours. Practicality is relative. Going on a nature walk, obviously one is not going to need most of this. Still, if America falls and the wolves come knocking on western Europe's door (trust me, they're waiting) you might want to be armed as best as you can be to protect yourself and loved ones. 200 million dead by a few out of control leftist monsters in the 20th century backs up that suggestion.
I could have got more out of this video had you not edited what Ron was talking about!

It sounded like Ron was about to tell us why we "always need a good, strong, quality, durable leather glove" and then it was edited out :-(

@00Avenger17 Would you really want to show a knife/gun/ what ever in public? you dont want to attract attention

@jasper644 why would you bring a gun? learn martial arts. and a knife can fit in any pocket/ coat lol -.-
00Avenger17 1 year ago
@00Avenger17 You would bring a gun because martial arts doesn't scare 5 thugs away and a 1911 does.
