Nasty.... My M20 went awry a bit worse, one of the front brake linings detached from the shoe causing the front wheel to lock on a roundabout. Luckily nobody was tailgating or I'd probably not be writing this....

Sounds like your escape was a closer call than mine. Now I've got something else to worry about. Thanks for posting, anyway.
