Increíble obra!... un tesoro de inspiración que narra un momento especial en la vida de cada uno de quienes puedan apreciar esta melodía. I agree with stetson172002
The song is great, but there could have been more winter time photos then just this one. I think I have some really cool photos of winter time, being I live in Montana just above Yellowstone 30 miles. I considered making a short video using my winter time photos. Did I mention I do photography professionally, and they are high quality images?
@phattykatzz Anybody ever tell you you're an asshole? They should, and on a regular basis, with particular emphasis on the "hole". Go to bed, you fat, ugly child.
Long winter where I live this year, and you may have guessed ... more snow this week. But I know how to keep the winterbirds happy keeps me happy too.
Long winter where I live this year, and you may have guessed ... more snow this week. But I know how to keep the winterbirds happy makes me happy too.
It's pretty cold there too, my poor baby. I've worn my Grandmother's wedding ring since my grandfather gave it to me after she died. Several days ago it was freezing & it must have slipped off. I have no idea where. So sad.
This will alway be in my memory, because I was in 4th grade living in MN. My brother bought "Book of Dreams." I would put this song on an look out our window in January & wish I lived in Florida where my sister lived! (1977) What a year! ( That was the year I was looking out the window.)
this song is almost to short should be a 24 hour song xD oh and those 2 people that disliked you must have had ear muffs on i know its winter time but you missed it they were callin
im like 21 an wish people made decent music like this, our generation but everysong just seems to as worse as the next one out , bloody shame!! Long live bowie, dylan, the zombies, eric clapton etc looll
Not that easy, no one learns how to play an instrument anymore, that's why the music is what it is.
In the past people would sit and play guitarr 8-10 hours a day since they were kids, no wonder they made good music. Nowadays, everyone sits at their computer and play World of Warcraft.
I love the steve miller band . it brings back memories of sitting my then teenaged brothers lap while he sang to this song.....not only this song but others too and they definatly had a musical impression on me growing up. I still listen to thier music.
I spend a lot of time in calfornia in the 70s (i from australia) and thy where some of of the time of my life,, great cars great music,,,,,,,,1976 Anaheim statium Big A concerts wow
Great Steve Miller tune. He lived in Williams Oregon when he wrote and recorded this timeless tune, My brother delivered lumber to his home, to build his recording studio. When my bro, delivered that wood, the band was all passed out, kegs laying on their side..lol Steve gave my bro the combination to his gate, so he could fish his Bass stocked ponds. Love this guy!
I am only 31 and I remember when I was 14 listening to Fly like an Eagle. Probably the first song I really remember. That and my father's Wham! LP. This is outstanding!
Steve Miller lived in Southern Oregon when he wrote this tune, I would imagine he spent alot of time in the surrounding mountains for inspiration. He is well loved here in Grants Pass Oregon!
Isn't it amazing how certain songs conjur up all the memories from when you first heard them and how they can make our senses see, hear, smell and almost feel like it was during that time?
I read stetson's comment and my mind went back to the cars, the music and the people.
Wow! Talking about old memories! I remember this album, well 8 track. The first time I heard this was after I bought the 8 track from c.m.c. stereo center in St. Louis. Oh my, listing to it in My 68 Chevelle SS in the 70"s. I miss that time in life, the music, the car, and the sweet girl I should have married. But I was young and dumb.
@stetson172002 Yep mine was a 69 Chevelle. I still want to kill the guy that invented 8 tracks. Tape eating #@^&&&### I wish this song was a full album just one song and loop it. It was fun being dumb.
@stetson172002 Yup- my girlfriend bought me a good sound system for my mercury Comet back then and we cruised so much listening to Steve Miller. I can pretty much remember exactly where I was when I bought each album or tape. We spent many a passionate night in that car with the best music ever being played. We did go on to marry and had 3 kids and I can close my eyes and see how great she looked in the passenger seat!
@stetson172002 my step dad said about the same thing except he bought the 8 track in canada i wish rock and roll wasn't dieing through my generation, sorry guys
@stetson172002 wow, I'm guessing you didn't expect to get such a reaction from your post. It looks like quite a few people responded to your post. But it is cool to read about how music effects different people. I looked up Steve Miller because I was watching a movie called "Cyrus" and they referenced Steve Miller and I was unfamiliar with the music. I read your post because it had tons of "thumbs up" and it made me reflect on music that I find impressionable on my life... interesting.
@BigCookinCajun God now if it would have been any longer he would have ruined it it . This is a masterpiece . So many songs are drawn out for no reason and everyone turns em off cause they get old like Stairway. Thats why Greenday was so good they had not one song over 4 minutes. Hi Wolf, Sorry it reminds you of your father, but there is another way to look at it. He probably had more character & integrity in his little pinky finger than most people will ever posses in a lifetime. At least a song really reminds you of him....My Father absolutely loved mother...........Check out Paul Williams...."that's enough for me" I'm 29, You may not have heard of Paul Williams, but he is GREAT!
You're suggesting that I "might be a pussy," yet you're using expressions like "yo". Not only do they share Am, they also share the same chord progression (Am, G, F).
