Look, men, in my prespective, Tchaikovsky doesn´t wrote the song with that intention. It´s very similar, all the notes. You need to develop independence in both hands, in this video, one hand follow another. You have to think that both hands are 2 different worlds and you have to rule each one
Yes, good playing, but the tempo must be orginal IMHO. Tchaikovsky wrote it not to be remade by someone, it concerns to every piece which is written for instrument on which this piece is played. Guitar remake and new tempo - OK, but not piano.
P.S. i can play it, and this is one of my favourite pieces. I like more only Tchaikovsky's Barcarolla than it.
Wrong! This is a romantical piece. I have the recording of this piece of Vladimir Ashkenazy and Michael Ponti. Ashekenazy plays it even slower than Ponti: very Largo and with much feeling and variation of tempo! Can you play a recording in YouTube for everybody? Thanks for your comment, though!
Nice interpretation! A bit faster than the other ones I have listened but beautiful nonetheless! I have just started learning this piece - the syncopation is a bit intimidating but hopefully I'll master it soon. Thanks for posting!
I think around the 1:30 mark, you are rushing it too much, causing you to miss the beautiful counter melody in the top bass part.
