@bluebluer444 i can help you. its complicated compared to any other softmos on earlier system menus but its posible, pm if you wanna know how. You need to own/rent/borrow a copy of Lego: Indiana Jones or Smash Stack Brawl to get it to work though as bannerbomb dont work on 4.3. Only the above two games will let you install LoadMii and Homebrew channel.

labtech200 @ dodo2000107 To brick your wii means you got locked out of the system for hacking or accidentally the console has blocked user access therefore making your system only usefull as a brick =3. But i can seethe wii being a great console AND brick.. =D go nintendo!

@bongalo12 4.2 is the best system menu out there. its easily hackable. Look for my simple tutorial showing you how. 4.3 is the killer but even thats hackable now.

I agree if you alredy have 4.2 it's not rily worth downgradeing unless you have a hack that dos'nt work for 4.2 or has a herd time runing under 4.2

however 4.1 is the most resent systom update that has any acuel inpuvements (ouder thin makeing it hearder for hackers to hack) cos 4.2's is only there to try and stop hacks and 4.3 is there to try and cover anything mised by 4.2!

For people that went by this guide and wanted to use the 4.1 firmware updater, it might brick if you don't have the proper IOS60 installed. That's the IOS system menu 4.1 uses, so yeah. Hope that helps, somewhat. Btw, nice guide King HP. Successfully downgraded.

YOU AREA GOD!!!!! lol, seriously , i have 4.2u and over half my games stoped working!!! i tried so many different videos and so many problems with it, i followed your simple word document and software and it worked flawlessly!!!!, my system is now 3.2 and all my back ups work again, me and my familly thank you for your great work, and simple instrusctions.

lol Its actually kind of funny every body settle down usually ios250 doesn't work so use ios36 you have to also have to be patient and this does work i did it on 16 different wiis and guess what none of them broke just make sure when you do it you do it 100% what he says other than ios250 I don't know why that doesn't work o....wait ya wiis version sorry!

Ok so i got my wii back

(Actually a new wii. Different serial and completely wiped. On menu 3.4)

Im not going to do this. Dont want another risk. Ima just stay on menu 3.4. The only real mod i will do is get the SD Card menu on my wii.

now i back up my wii NAND with boot2 so if anything like that ever happens again, i can just get a wiped wii, then restore it to where it was before it broke :D

I just run ownly the USB loader to get big iso's working without burning them on discs.

And I have a modchip working with PAL and NTSC for the smaller discs (4.3GB)

And I have no a working 4.1 on my Wii with the recommended what I need.

u could try using NUS Downloader to get the System Menu as a Wad so u can downgrade. Im not sure on how to do tht so ur gonna have to do some research...

Song is called World, Hold On. Those colored wii's (green, black, red, grey...) are official Japenese Wii's and the moded ones(like the Super Mario Galaxy wii) you have to buy the case and then fix it together.

Chances are you have a new wii, and updated right away before reading up on what was going on. Downgrading you may have to pic a wad in the 30s but you will most likely run into error -1017 or -2011. Your best bet will be to either wait for a more forceful method or see if you can trade for a new one and not update.

you the wad manager thing. get bannerbomb and wad manager's boot.dol and put them in the root of SD. Go to the sd card menu on wii and run bannerbomb. it should run wad manger and then try to uninstall ios 249 tht way.

I had similar issue ... Followed your tutorial and everything worked great until I updated to 4.1 and then after required reboot, black screen and TV signal detection. I have tried GC D Pad to get into recovery mode, but no luck yet. Is Ninetendo the only route at this point or did you find a solution? I have a Drivekey installed, but not set to Autoboot if that helps.

When i load bootmii from homebrew, a screen pops up with 4 options when it restarts my wii. I cant connect my wii remote so it just shows the health screen after a few seconds. Is that normal?
