I blame the public school system, I was found to be dyslexic my second year of 2nd grade and they haven't done shit for me, I'm still struggling and failing, and no one gives a damn! I've been said to be depressed all because of school and its hardships, I can't wait to get out, but that wont matter because everything goes by your scores, and I fail almost ever test I have ever taken. Who cares about strengths when school focuses on our weaknesses!
No opinion. When I was 5 the doctor prescribed me as miniorly dislislexic. It wasn't serious but, it affects how I read and write. The words in this sentence are all misspelled but with spell check I almost got them right. Dyslexia affects my writing.
When I read I mix up words, this happens alot and often I get headaches for example I read SHOP as SHOE and Body as Boy and Ready as Restart those are just a few, do I have dyslexia??
hellDyslexic o people, 1 of my friend told me i have dyslexic. i told him my story which is when i was young never like school. i was bad at all subjects and good at arts and sports. i was told i could be an actor by 1 of my friends. to this day i have pproblems. i spell like a grade 4, bad hand writing, failing classes, low selfsten, spoke late, don't use periouds and commons right, couldnt tigh my shoe in a and young age. i failed gr9 math 5 times.
@heyyo1987 Funny you say about the shoe tying, me and my brother always struggled with that and we're both dyslexic. Both of us got through the school system undiagnosed- until when I was 15 and I got talking to one of my classmates who was Dyslexic and it all clicked. There are SO many people who never get diagnosed, it's sad, we need to do more..
@heyyo1987 I am the same, but I am currently learning programming in college, I have compensated for my dyslexia by using muscle memory to type words. Also it is now habbit for me to put in commas etc. If I tried to write this on paper it would look completly different.
I recommend using spelling and grammar checkers, learn to type, I use a dvorak keyboard. This is a keyboard designed to speed up typing. This will allow your muscles to remember how to spell. It works for me
Famous dyslexics: (xtraordinary people dot com) Einstein, Leonardo Di Vinchi, Richard Branson, Madonna, Winston Churchill, Tom Cruise, Robbie Williams, Eddie Izzard, Jamie Oliver, Picasso, the list is long and full of inventors, creatives and successful leaders and business people.
I can see why they did this for dyslexics but as a young dyslexic i think i would have found that advert very upsetting.

Hey! I like how this video made the letters slow enough so that I could read it AND comprehend it!

Sonorite, a good thought. Life is about living and that's about enjoying life. Research shows very few people enjoy a job.

Not getting a good job is failure...there's a lot more in live to look forward to than the perfect job one will work till their pension is ready.
