once you rejet your carb you must adjust your mixture screw correct??? now where is the mixture screw located and does your carb need to be pulled off and taken apart to adjust it??? your knowledge would be greatly appreciated....btw i have an 06 wolverine 450 4x4

@HtownTom it is on the bottom of the carb....has a plug covering it....u will have to drill the plug 2 c the screw. I think it is in front of the bowl...don't drill 2 deep...just enough 2 Xpose the screw.

Mine's a 2010 and stock and I can get it up to 82 kms per hour. There is a speed limit adjuster on the bike and I haven't touched mine so it might go faster but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the top end.

@HtownTom you should always buy a jet kit if you get a new racing exhaust. or any kind of performance exhaust. if you dont it will make you engine run lean.

Got it from ebay...just do a search for hmf exhaust wolverine 450....I paid around $210 with free shipping...make sure that it comes with spark arrestor and jet...u can also get them from HMF for around $260

I got HMF Pipe on mine too. 27" blackhorse tires on, its kind of too big it and it slowed down the speed to 49 mph. 2.5" wheel spacers are a joke, they break easy if you ride Alaska trails. Custom rearrack, toe hitch, new speedometer, rpm meter , engine thermometer, and other few adjustments.

I had to cut 1/2" off my HMF pipe(for 06') on to my 07' in order to make it fit on my bolts. Its good, they're pretty damn good for toeing heavy skiffs & trailers.

Good quads...good speed/torque on trails...but if its wide open trails/roads ur only gonna top out around the 50s range...but who really needs that kinda speed on a woods trail anyway?

Bummer about the bolts man...maybe they changed things now...but mine did come with the bolts...yup...its the main jet...I had the same trouble ur haveN with those cheap screws...vise grips work very well....the mixture screw is under a brass cover...u'll have to drill it..go slow or u'll mess up the screw...its just a little thin cover.

That sounds great. The stock sound is weak. I have taken my 450 Wolverine 54mph on a street. The last few mph came very slow. That exhaust probably increases torque in the low range where you need it and you loose some at the high end. I weigh 240 pounds so it is a lot for the ATV to carry, yet it still got to 54mph
