I get ideas from many sources & I don't always approach layouts from the same direction.
Most often I have a particular story I want to tell, so I print my pictures and choose the page kit with the papers and embellishments that complement the mood I am trying to convey.
Ideas for layouts come from magazines, books, conversations with people, my subconscious brain -- pretty much anywhere! I am going to have a series of articles in May on my blog about my scrapping process with more details.

I get the 60 yard refills & a box of twelve lasts at least six months. I scrap almost every day & I use a ton of adhesive -- I am an adhesive junkie! I know I use way more than I need, but I want my stuff to be stuck!
So, a daily scrapper who applied adhesive heavily would get two to three weeks of use out of a roll. My mom scraps weekly vs. daily & uses less adhesive & one roll can last her more than a month! It all depends on the scrapper.
LOL! I saw on your profile that your hometown is Miami. Definitely look me up next time you're paying your mom a visit (if you have time). It's easy for me to move my computer to free up the second desk & make room for anther cropper!
