hmmm looks like a FRS/GMRS radio and you have it set to a licensed GMRS frequency and that does not have 22,000 radio channels. Only CTCSS tones with many combos. Only one radio can occupy the passband at one time or else you have interference, interference is caused by two or more transmitter occupying the same passband with comparable strengths, CTCSS does not solve interference it just does not listen for other transmitters, but yet interference is still there if there was some beforehand.
no it doesn't have 22,000 channels! it has a few channels with a lot of different ctcss tones. ctcss doesn't provide privacy in any way. Radios will go further if both are line of sight, but on a few hundred milliwatts will not go 20+ miles!
stick to cameras, you know very little about radio.
No, not 22,000 channels. A PL tone does not create a new channel or get rid of interference, it just covers up other users and interference on the same channel.
Never trust the manufacturers claims of the distance. They can go for probably a hundred miles if you have line of sight, or less than a metre if you have a think block of lead in the way. It all depends on surroundings.
a wireless trigger on ebay is about 0.99 ,and whats the point of having a camera miles away? even if is a interesting gadget theres no point on doing it ,unless u want someone to steal ur camera ! lool
22,000? 22 channels x 100 sub-channels = 2,200 channels no? am i missing some info? i guess if it has ten different filters? but 2,200 is still pretty impressive.
If the radios also have a mic input, you can transmit a RS-232 (Serial) signal. It wouldn't be very fast say 300 baud. But you get some servo's going and you can pan the camera up\down\left\right with your PC. I've seen this done with ham radios before.
@mikeanable all the radios are for is to activate a trigger for the camera to snap the picture... he is not transmitting any information accept "camera take the picture now". and hell thats even after the transmission is received by his device which then accepts the transmission and in turn tells the camera to snap the picture.
As robertsdoug said, it only has 22 channels. The privacy codes only tell the radio when to break squelch. So if you transmit on say, Channel 22 with privacy code 82, then anyone else on channel 22 will be heard if they are transmiting at the same time because squelch is broken.
All u gotta do now is add a large 36'' beach with a platform put the camera and stuff on it and add a very long string and let it hover in the air about 3 miles up and tske some pix from up there?????
what is the middle piece? your "apparatus"

22 channels with 100 sub channels equals 22 hundred channels, not 22 thousand. If you are that stupid why would anyone buy anything from you?

ballm0use 2 years ago
Hey that is great.......can the same be done for a video camera ????
dezigoes 2 years ago
Umm, no.
It has 22 channels with 100 privacy codes.
100 people cannot be talking on the same channel at once, even with different privacy codes. Privacy codes are just a way of filtering out others.
