It would be much more simplier just to show a double and place the card into the center. This control is less economical than others. In other words, your doing too much work than it actually needs. Also, I would have to disagree when you said this control gives you more time to think about what you're going to do next. This is the kind of stuff you should have planned beforehand. It just shows that you're an unprepared magician.
cool i tried this and its alot easer to just leave in the middle and then go through the cards and put the 'card" on the table then put the actual card on top
nice but i kinda figured it out while you performed it. most probably because you just made it up yesterday but with more practice itll be a good force
1. you didnt make it up
2. do NOT let them put the card in. 99-100% chance they WILL either look or see it

The card was already there with the double lift....just take the wrong card and leave the espectator card on top
