Was this when the Pixies opened for them? I saw them touring the S/T album in either 1989 or 1990 (memory gets hazy), at the Fox Theater in Detroit. Front row tix!! The Pixies opened up for them -- Doolittle had just come out -- a double-bill for the ages...
I saw them the first time live on this tour at the Fillmore in SF. Then I saw them for the Sweet FA tour and the Lift tour. They were always great live. On a side note I saw Peter Murphy on the Deep and Holy Smoke tours at the Warfield in SF also. He was great live as well. Not a coincidence both were good live:)
Saw them for the third time opening up the US leg of this tour in the Tupperware Auditorium, just outside Orlando. Front row, right in front of Dan's amps.
This was the opening song and I don't think the ears have ever recovered.

Very unappreciated band. First time I heard Flower Pot Man I was electrified. Superb!
