Someone with more checks in less important categories can still lose the round. It quite technical, close fights can end in blow out decisions and clear destructive wins can be split D wins. Thats why you should always finish a fight.

The champ wins close rounds by default, the more popular guy gets the nod in a close bout. Sometimes it's accidental, one guy gets checks in the valuable places an the other gets every other check but still loses a round. I hate the scoring, it needs a serious re-tooling.
