I think Jesus probably existed, but the only reliable evidence, as i received from Ehrman, is a verse in which Paul says "James, the brother of the savior" whom he knew. That's how "solid" is the evidence. I dont engage in "arguments from authorities", i try to read and examine the arguments they present for myself.

@sirdelrio Paul actually says in Galatains that he went to Jerusalem and met with none of the apostles except Peter and with James the brother of the Lord. Josephus wrote that James was the brother of Jesus. Only in Christian writing does one find "James was the brother of the Lord" rather than Jesus. Robert Price is not an amature but is the only Phd level NT scholar I know of who doubts Jesus existed. But listen to his interview with scholar Robert Miller here on YouTube "Price/Miller".

@sirdelrio Latin speakers, too. There is internal evidence in the Gospel of Mark that the original was written in Latin. And "Mark" was a popular Roman name!

@sirdelrio u are correct, he existed and was a moral teacher. Somehow he became a rockstar many years after his death after various lies were written about him and publicized.
