You are correct in that Olbermann shows no respect for the Tea Party candidates; but then, he has no respect for the Tea Party in general. Apparently he thinks the Tea Party has not earned his respect. I can't fault him for that.

When public figures like Angle and Rand make statements that are at variance with the facts then folk like Olbermann will be quick to point out these gaffs. If you are a Tea Party candidate you better know what you're talking about before opening your mouth, eh?

@cwhite54: We need to be intellectually honest, because that is what we demand of the Democrats. If we're going to demand a more honest government, we have to lead by example. We wanted candidates who say what they really think. Paul stated that he is "board certified", which implies "American Board of Medical Specialties". Had he not said that, we wouldn't have to defend him. Of course, personally, I would make EVERY doctor re-certify yearly. But simply dropping out, I think, was a bad idea.

@RandPaul4Senate Paul, who rails against governement spending and entitlements, drew appx 50 percent of his income from Medicare and Medicaid. I have no idea how much he makes per year but I suspect it is signifiicantly more than that of the average wage earner. Were he true to his highly touted principles he would not have used government money to feather his nest. He is, in short, a grinding hippocrite.

paul isn't certified by that particular board because that bored exempts older opthamologists from having to recertify their certificates. he's philosophically opposed grandfather clauses. but olberman would never mention the reasons for his stance. that's taking a principled stand. he'd just mention one parts and use it to imply that paul is under-qulified.
